Episode 4 | Walkthrough Until Dawn Guide

At the beginning of this episode you return to the point where Jess was kidnapped by an unknown creature. You are going to chase them as Mike. If you will leave the optimum path described below or make too many mistakes during the QTE events you are not going to be able to save her. At first go around, than jump off the rock (in both cases you need to press one button) and then you need to run while pressing four buttons in a sequence. After next choice jump between rocks and in the end you should choose a path around (a butterfly effect: To the Rescue).
During the cutscene Mike is going to enter the building. Go downstairs where on your left you may find the Guidance Totem #4. If you have not waste your time earlier on (you used a lot of shortcuts) you are going to be able to save Jess who will suffer only from a chest wound. Her jaw will be all right. You are going to save her later on even though the elevator will fall.
Beside the fact that you may hit the beast from your gun you are going a crazy chase after it. Climb up the elevator shaft (QTE) and use the faster path. Get to the second bar. From the top you are going to see a man. Your weapon will fire either you want it or not.
Now you are going to look for Ashley as Chris. You are not going to find any clues or totems in the house. You may leave it and go through the path. On the crossroad turn left (toward the top of the screen). Suddenly a dummy will appear in the snow. It will look like a clown, a zombie or a scarecrow, depending on your earlier conversation about a roof with the therapist. Behind it will appear a clue - the pig's head. Left from it you may find the Death Totem #4.
Turn back and choose this time the path on your right. In its end you will find a building but don't enter it yet. Instead turn toward the dark corner on its right where you may find the Loss Totem #3. Now enter the shed.
This part is quite interesting since you are going to choose between Ashley's and Josh's life which will result in butterfly effect during the And Which One Will Die. You may also wait long enough to not make a choice what will deny the butterfly effect. The better option is to save Ashley since even if you are going to sacrifice her a chainsaw will cut Josh in a half. The chapter ends here.
