This page of the guide has a walkthrough for chapter 8 of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves called The City's Secret. This is an unusual chapter because it doesn't feature any fights. However, you have to remain cautious - you will come across a few traps. You need to solve a puzzle in which you have to place the hands of the statue in the right way.

You won't encounter any enemies here but that doesn't mean you can't die. This time, instead of enemies, you will encounter traps. This chapter has two puzzles. You can also come across two treasures. They aren't particularly difficult to find. Difficulty level: low Number of opponents: none Chapter type: puzzles

After the beginning of the chapter [secret 1], you can immediately go to the hall in front of you - it has a large sculpture.

This monument has four hands and each holds a different object. Your task is to position the hands so that they match the drawings in Drake's journal. After careful examination of the notes, you learn that only three hands must be rearranged - one of them is in the correct position (trident).

The path to the first hand is on the right. You will find a destroyed column. Climb it to get on the wall. You need to reach the floor above. Next, jump to the shelf near the statue.

You will get near the trident. Don't change its position. Move towards the bricks. Climb up to the ceiling, walk on the horizontal decorations and reach the shelf near the next hands (photo on the right). You have to change its position.

Go back to the place where you have started the climb (the destroyed column and the wall) and jump on the shelf near the grate. Turn right to see the beams leading to the other side of the room (suspended above the entrance). Grab them and swing to reach the other side. Continue your way on the undamaged balcony.

Move the next hand (the one with skulls) and climb the bricks to the ceiling. Jump on a wooden stick and then move closer to the last hand. Activate it - Drake will fall to the ground.

After the cut-scene, go up to the central part of the statue and interact with it. This will open a secret passage.

Use it to reach the undergrounds. Keep following them until you reach the collapsed passageway. Climb the ruined parts of the tunnel and go through the narrow gap.

Follow the road - you will pass a bas-relief tree. You will reach the destroyed statue - climb it to reach the upper level. Move to the next big room with a puzzle.

Drake will fall into a trap. Nathan and Chloe fall into a room with spikes on the ceiling [secret 2]. Look around. You will find a mechanism - two primitive gears. Use your rifle to destroy the bottom one. The spikes will stop moving. Go through the unlocked exit.

Move forward to reach another puzzle. However, you will solve it in the next chapter.
