[20-M] Needle in the Haystack TW II: Pirates of The Flying Fortress Guide

Last update: 11 May 2016

Beginning: You'll get it from Maren after you've carried out [12-M] Teal's Ikayorte.

If you agree to help Maren, apart from getting a quest you'll also receive an interesting artifact - Sight Stealer (a kind of Oculus that can be used infinite times) - [20-M] Needle in the Haystack - Walkthrough - Two Worlds II: Pirates of The Flying Fortress - Game Guide and Walkthrough

If you agree to help Maren, apart from getting a quest you'll also receive an interesting artifact - Sight Stealer (a kind of Oculus that can be used infinite times). First, you have to get to the last island in this archipelago. The way by boat has been marked on the map above. Naturally, the way can change depending on where you left your boat. Anyway, swim to the island and get out form the boat.

If you want to do all side quests, this is the right moment to complete the quest [21-S] Varn Guide.

After you've arrived at [1] head to the teleport [2] (Sauwok Coastline) and mark it on the map - [20-M] Needle in the Haystack - Walkthrough - Two Worlds II: Pirates of The Flying Fortress - Game Guide and Walkthrough

After you've arrived at [1] head to the teleport [2] (Sauwok Coastline) and mark it on the map. You'll receive 30,000 XP and a new location you must go now. How you get there is entirely up to you. You can pass all enemies by and walk along the shore or go through two Olorum camps (you'll go past the altar of endurance on the way and possibly the altar of accuracy - use them if you get seriously wounded).

When it comes to opponents, there are quite a lot of Zygophyllas in the north part of the island. Later on they show up by the paths together with Poisoners. You can visit the main Olorum camp on the way. If you arrive there from the north, divide your enemies into two groups. You'll defeat two Gobblers, four warriors, an archer and a wizard in the first, while the second group will consist of a wizard, archer, two warriors and two Gobblers. Hide behind the tents in order not to fight with all enemies at once, and after you've eliminated everybody search two cases marked on the map.

It doesn't pay to visit the second Olorum camp, so head to the teleport in [3] (Southern Sauwok) - [20-M] Needle in the Haystack - Walkthrough - Two Worlds II: Pirates of The Flying Fortress - Game Guide and Walkthrough

It doesn't pay to visit the second Olorum camp, so head to the teleport in [3] (Southern Sauwok). Next, enter a stone garden full of statues, or rather, petrified creatures. In [4] you'll find a Hunter's Diary - you can pick it up and read it to learn with what or whom you're about to fight. When you approach the shaman statue in [5] you'll receive 30,000 XP and you'll watch a cutscene introducing you to your new opponent.

It's going to be a Basilisk - [20-M] Needle in the Haystack - Walkthrough - Two Worlds II: Pirates of The Flying Fortress - Game Guide and Walkthrough

It's going to be a Basilisk. Stay in hiding and use the Sight Stealer. Direct the remote-controlled eye in such a way as to find the monster in [6]. Approach its head and fire the missile, which will cause the Sight Stealer to deprive the beast of its eyes. Your next task is to kill the Basilisk.

It won't be easy - [20-M] Needle in the Haystack - Walkthrough - Two Worlds II: Pirates of The Flying Fortress - Game Guide and Walkthrough

It won't be easy. The creature is strong, it attacks both directly and from a distance, and it can also poison. Remember about the altar of willpower, as it can be useful in the battle. Wound the monster, and when the spell cast on the creatures is removed, pull back and start fighting them. You must kill them to take the aura of immortality off the Basilisk. There are going to be two spider-like monsters and two Hamadryads attacking from a distance. Come back to the fight with the Basilisk after neutralizing those enemies.

As the Basilisk gets more injured, he removes the spell cast on two more groups of enemies (both consist of opponents fighting hand-to-hand and from a distance). Each next group will be more challenging than the previous one. That's why, don't hesitate to withdraw if you really need to, and don't fight everybody simultaneously, but above all, don't show yourself to the Basilisk during the fight with the remaining enemies.

After three groups of enemies nobody will stand in your way to fight the monster - [20-M] Needle in the Haystack - Walkthrough - Two Worlds II: Pirates of The Flying Fortress - Game Guide and Walkthrough

After three groups of enemies nobody will stand in your way to fight the monster. Finish it off and you'll receive as much as 100,000 XP. Search the body of the Basilisk and take Basilisk Eye Ring (quite a powerful artifact) and Basilisk's Claw (it will come in handy in a moment). You should notice that the entrance to the Basilisk's lair has stood open in [7] - use it to get to [8]. There are a lot of items you can take inside, but most importantly find a Diary on the table in [9].

Read it - [20-M] Needle in the Haystack - Walkthrough - Two Worlds II: Pirates of The Flying Fortress - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Read it. You'll receive 5,000 XP and some new information. Go to [10] and find the rocks near the kettle to the right. Put the Basilisk's Claw inside, and you'll get 10,000 XP. Search the chambers. You'll find quite a lot items. The largest number of items is in the most northward chamber.

However, the chamber in [11] should be of most interest to you, as inside apart from a chest with items you'll find three Sila's Tears lying on a low table by the entrance - [20-M] Needle in the Haystack - Walkthrough - Two Worlds II: Pirates of The Flying Fortress - Game Guide and Walkthrough

However, the chamber in [11] should be of most interest to you, as inside apart from a chest with items you'll find three Sila's Tears lying on a low table by the entrance. Take them all, and you'll receive 6,000 XP.
