What is worth investing

If you've decided to develop as a magician, main skills, which you should invest in are: Talented Tongue - useful at the beginning of the game when time plays the most important role; Elemental Focus also useful at the beginning, but mainly due to the fact that you cannot afford to purchase lots of potions; Battle Clarity useful only at the higher levels.

Both Sorcery Artisan and Wisdom should be developed later in the game - in early game you will not be able to create more powerful spells (too few cards) and even cast them (too few mana).

Same thing with Summoning - increasing the number of cards to summon creatures will be useful in the later game.

The last aspect is the choice of Elemental Mastery, which you will be specialized in. Developing all at once is difficult due to the small amount of experience points you will gain during the game. You should first read more about possibilities offered by different groups of elements, which are listed in the chapter [Spell combinations]. Note that some creatures are immune to the various elements, which leads to development in all directions.
