Trophies and achievements in Two Point Hospital Two Point Hospital Guide and Tips

Last update: 04 March 2020

This page has a trophy guide to Two Point Hospital. We have included very detailed descriptions of the achievements/trophies available in the game. Each trophy contains information about their requirements and how to unlock them in the easiest way. We also have information on which platforms you can get them. With our guide, you will get 100% of the trophies and unlock the platinum trophy available on the PlayStation 4.

Important information about Two Point Hospital trophies

  1. The number of Two Point Hospital achievements/trophies varies from platform to platform. The PC version has the biggest collection - 40. The XONE version offers 30 achievements, while the PS4 version offers 31 trophies - 1 platinum trophy, 5 gold, 15 silver, and 10 bronze.
  2. The platinum trophy takes a very long time to unlock. Prepare yourself to spend tens of hours with the game. You will spend the majority of that time on getting all the achievements/trophies related to getting stars in every scenario. To unlock "the platinum", you must get all the stars in all stages.
  3. The most difficult trophies/achievements are those found in the DLC. Scenarios from DLC add-ons are more demanding than those from the main campaign, and may, for example, require you to quickly treat groups of patients. You must be perfectly familiar with all the game mechanics to deal with them.
  4. Try to get "I'd Like To Thank My Mother" trophy as soon as possible. You can unlock it easily during the initial career mode scenarios. Getting a full set of awards is much more difficult in the next hospitals.
  5. Achievements/trophies that require you to repeat the same actions don't have to be unlocked in a single scenario. For example, if you need to treat 1,000 patients, the game will count your progress throughout the entire game.

Clean Bill O'health

Trophy type: platinum

How to unlock: Collect all the cups in Two Point Hospital.

Commentary: This trophy can only be unlocked on the PlayStation 4. It is not available in the PC and XONE versions.

Give a Man a Hospital...

Trophy type: bronze - Trophies and achievements in Two Point Hospital - Appendix - Two Point Hospital Game Guide

Trophy type: bronze

How to unlock: Treat 1 patient.

Commentary: This is the easiest achievement/trophy you will get in the first minutes of the game - you unlock during the tutorial in the first hospital - Hogsport. The tutorial requires you to e.g. diagnose the condition of the first patient in the GP's Office and treat them at the Pharmacy.

Teach a Man to Hospital...

Trophy type: silver

How to unlock: Treat 1,000 patients.

Commentary: This is a time-consuming achievement, although it is a great relief that the game doesn't impose any requirements, for example, treating 1,000 patients within a single level or mode. The game adds up all the patients you have treated from all your hospitals.

The Patients page has information and tips on how to treat people who appear in the hospital for the diagnosis and treatment.

Be sure to adjust the number of GP's offices accordingly to the current size of your hospitals. This will allow you to receive more patients. The same applies to the other premises of the hospital, and its staff. Patients waiting too long for diagnosis and treatment may die or leave the hospital before treatment.

Doctor Know

Trophy type: silver - Trophies and achievements in Two Point Hospital - Appendix - Two Point Hospital Game Guide

Trophy type: silver

How to unlock: Train a World-Class Researcher.

Commentary: This trophy is related to training hired doctors. This option is available for the first time in the third hospital of the campaign - Flottering. From now on, you will be able to place training facilities for hospital staff in all subsequent hospitals. To fulfill its requirements, one of your doctors must complete all 5 Research Courses. You don't always have to start the training from the basics. If a particular doctor already has some researcher knowledge when you hire them, then this process will be shorter.

For more information about the training of hospital staff, see the Staff and Hospital Rooms pages (Training sub-section).

Jung At Heart

Trophy type: silver

How to unlock: Train a World-Class Psychiatrist.

Commentary: This achievement/trophy is very similar to Doctor Know. In this case, one of the hired doctors must be trained as a psychiatrist. This means that this person must complete all 5 Psychiatry Courses. You don't always have to start the training from the basics. If a particular doctor already has some psychiatrist knowledge when you hire them, then this process will be shorter.

Cut Above

Trophy type: silver

How to unlock: Train a World-Class Surgeon.

Commentary: This trophy/achievement is very similar to Jung At Heart and Doctor Know. In this case, one of the hired doctors must be trained as a surgeon. This means that this person must complete all 5 Surgery Courses. You don't always have to start the training from the basics. If a particular doctor already has some surgeon knowledge when you hire them, then this process will be shorter.

Well-Informed

Trophy type: silver - Trophies and achievements in Two Point Hospital - Appendix - Two Point Hospital Game Guide

Trophy type: silver

How to unlock: Complete 50 Research Projects.

Commentary: You can make researches in special rooms located in the hospital. The more researchers and positions available at a given moment, the faster the research process.

For more information, check out Hospital Rooms (Research sub-section) and How to increase the pace of research?.

Always Be Curing

Trophy type: silver - Trophies and achievements in Two Point Hospital - Appendix - Two Point Hospital Game Guide

Trophy type: silver

How to unlock: Run 50 marketing campaigns.

Commentary: To run marketing campaigns, you need to build a related room and hire an assistant with marketing skills. It is best to choose short, less expensive advertising campaigns. If you want to get the trophy at all costs, you can end currently-running marketing campaigns prematurely. The game only counts the start of the campaign.

For more information, visit Hospital Rooms (Marketing sub-section) and When should you invest in marketing? pages.

Bells & Whistles

Trophy type: bronze - Trophies and achievements in Two Point Hospital - Appendix - Two Point Hospital Game Guide

Trophy type: bronze

How to unlock: Upgrade 25 machines.

Commentary: You can upgrade medical equipment for the first time in the second hospital - Lower Bullocks. You have to go through the tutorial on improving the first machine from the Pharmacy.

Unfortunately, you cant upgrade devices without any restrictions - Trophies and achievements in Two Point Hospital - Appendix - Two Point Hospital Game Guide

Unfortunately, you can't upgrade devices without any restrictions. You must meet a number of requirements:

  1. First of all, you need to have the right blueprint. You can get new technologies by getting stars in scenarios (the example above shows that getting 3 stars has unlocked 2 new projects) and conducting research in the hospital.
  2. Medical equipment improvements can only be made by a Janitor with mechanic abilities - this ability is marked with a gear icon on the character's sheet. You can check whether a particular Janitor has this skill while viewing the list of job candidates.
  3. Each improvement must be purchased and a given device can't be used to treat patients during the upgrade period. This problem can be solved, for example, by making a second room of the same type.

Janitors need time to upgrade equipment, but you can speed up it by sending your employees on a Mechanic Course.

We have described the entire process in detail on How to upgrade medical equipment? page.

I. See. You.

Trophy type: bronze - Trophies and achievements in Two Point Hospital - Appendix - Two Point Hospital Game Guide

Trophy type: bronze

How to unlock: Capture 100 ghosts.

Commentary: Ghosts in Two Point Hospital are dead patients that you haven't manage to treat (e.g. due to complications, incorrect diagnosis, lack of appropriate equipment). After death, they can return as ghosts and start haunting the hospital.

The patient's death is signaled by a special sound. Find the skull icon on the hospital map (zoom out as far as possible) and see if the patient has turned into a ghost. Ghosts are also marked on the map with separate icons.

To catch ghosts, you must have Janitors with the Ghost Capture ability - Trophies and achievements in Two Point Hospital - Appendix - Two Point Hospital Game Guide

To catch ghosts, you must have Janitors with the Ghost Capture ability. It is best to check if a Janitor has this skill when you hire them. However, the Ghost Capture ability can also be obtained through appropriate training.

Catch a total of 100 ghosts. This doesn't have to take place in a single stage - the game keeps count of captured ghosts from all your hospitals.

Read more about ghosts and how to fight them on Why my patients die? page.

County-Wide

Trophy type: silver - Trophies and achievements in Two Point Hospital - Appendix - Two Point Hospital Game Guide

Trophy type: silver

How to unlock: Get 15 gold stars.

Commentary: Each hospital available in the game has a separate scenario, and you can always get up to 3 gold stars. You receive starts by completing scenario goals displayed in the upper-right corner of the screen (e.g. treat X patients, maintain employee satisfaction at a certain level). Completing all tasks in this group is rewarded with a star and a congratulation letter. Then you can finish the game and return to the Open Map or continue the game to get more stars.

You have complete freedom - you can, for example, get one star in the next stages, or always try to get the maximum number of stars and, thus, fulfill the prerequisites for this achievement in the fifth hospital from the career mode.

The Mission tips page has useful tips for each of the hospitals in the main campaign. Reading them should help you with getting the stars.

Inter-Countinental

Trophy type: silver

How to unlock: Get 30 gold stars.

Commentary: This is a more complex version of the County-Wide trophy.

Pointy Mountain G.O.A.T.

Trophy type: silver

How to unlock: Get 45 gold stars.

Commentary: This is an even more complex version of the Inter-Countinental trophy. 45 stars are the maximum number that can be obtained in the main campaign scenarios. However, it is worth noting that the PS4 and XONE versions of Two Point Hospital have two DLC add-ons where you can get more stars.

JUMBO

Trophy type: gold - Trophies and achievements in Two Point Hospital - Appendix - Two Point Hospital Game Guide

Trophy type: gold

How to unlock: Reach $50,000,000 Organisation Value.

Commentary: This achievement takes into account the value of all hospitals managed in the career mode. Expansion of the hospital (new buildings, new premises, new staff, etc.) increases its cost and lets you serve more patients, thereby increasing revenues.

The game displays the value of the entire organization in the bottom right corner of the world map. It is best to simply focus on the following scenarios - thanks to this approach, achieving the desired value won't be too difficult. It will only take a lot of time.

Two Point Bounty

Trophy type: silver - Trophies and achievements in Two Point Hospital - Appendix - Two Point Hospital Game Guide

Trophy type: silver

How to unlock: Get 10,000 Kudosh.

Commentary: You accumulate Kudosh automatically by making progress in the campaign. You receive them for many different things. The most important ways to get Kudosh are:

  1. Getting stars in the scenarios. Completing each scenario with 3 stars.
  2. Focusing on Career Goals - you can check them in the world map (the picture above). They relate to various things, such as treating X patients, promoting X doctors, training X employees, or cleaning X hospital toilets. You must always collect your rewards in person by clicking the Collect button. It is best to get used to this after completing each scenario.
You dont need to focus on meeting the requirements of this trophy - Trophies and achievements in Two Point Hospital - Appendix - Two Point Hospital Game Guide
  1. Performing small tasks during scenarios (the picture above shows an example). They may require you to, for example, treat a large number of patients in a crisis situation or take good care of a VIP patient. There are no penalties for failing challenges, so try to complete every single one, especially since you can receive a prize even if the challenge wasn't complete in 100%.

You don't need to focus on meeting the requirements of this trophy. Just try your best to perform your duties in the scenarios.

Double Digits

Trophy type: silver - Trophies and achievements in Two Point Hospital - Appendix - Two Point Hospital Game Guide

Trophy type: silver

How to unlock: Have a level 10 Hospital.

Commentary: Leveling hospitals isn't a very complicated process - you need to expand the hospital by creating new rooms, buying new land for hospital buildings, treating more patients, and hiring new employees. The game also takes into account the skill level of your staff. You can send them for training to help increase the hospital's level. Information about the current hospital level is displayed in the bottom right corner of the screen (the purple bar).

The trophy can be obtained in any scenario. The first opportunity for this trophy/achievement appears in the second scenario - Lower Bullocks. One of the requirements for getting 3 stars in this stage is to make the hospital reach level 10.

Double Double

Trophy type: gold

How to unlock: Have a level 20 Hospital.

Commentary: This is a more complex version of the Double Digits trophy described above. Select a scenario that allows you to build a large hospital (several interconnected hospital buildings).

I'd Like To Thank My Mother

Trophy type: gold - Trophies and achievements in Two Point Hospital - Appendix - Two Point Hospital Game Guide

Trophy type: gold

How to unlock: Get all the awards with one hospital.

Commentary: This Is one of the game's most difficult trophies because it forces you to have a "perfect calendar year" in one of your hospitals. Awards are always given out at a special ceremony that takes place at the end of the year. To unlock this achievement, your hospital must receive awards in all 8 categories in the current year. Here is a list of these categories:

  1. Doctor of the Year - Your hospital must have the best doctor. Have at least 1 excellent doctor (4 or 5 stars) in your hospital and take care of their well-being.
  2. Nurse of the Year - Your hospital must have the best nurse. Have at least 1 excellent nurse (4 or 5 stars) in your hospital and take care of their well-being.
  3. Rising Star - Your hospital must have an employee who made the most progress during the year. Try to regularly send your employees for training - this is possible from the third scenario onward.
  4. Employer of the Year - Your hospital must have satisfied employees and a high reputation. Build premises for staff and take care of their well-being (also by regulating their salary).
  5. No Deaths - The most difficult category, which we described in more detail later in the text.
  6. Best Teaching Hospital - Your hospital should have done a lot of training - this option is unlocked in the third scenario. Try to send several employees for training every month.
  7. Patients' Choice Award - Your hospital must be loved by patients and have a high reputation. Try to have rooms for treating all types of diseases. You should also take care of numerous patient facilities (benches, vending machines, bathrooms, etc.).
  8. Most Prestigious Hospital - Your hospital must be the most pleasant place to work at. This is a fairly general category. Make sure that the interiors of the hospital are friendly to employees and patients.
The No Deaths requirement is by far the most difficult to achieve because none of the hospitals patients can die within a given calendar year - Trophies and achievements in Two Point Hospital - Appendix - Two Point Hospital Game Guide

The "No Deaths" requirement is by far the most difficult to achieve because none of the hospital's patients can die within a given calendar year. Here are some tips and tricks on how to increase your chances of completing this challenge:

  1. Try to hire the best employees and/or train your employees. You should also check their characteristics - among them, you can find, for example, an increased percentage of the effectiveness of diagnosis/treatment of patients.
  2. Upgrade the machines in the hospital on a regular basis. A higher level of medical equipment increases the percentage chance of successful treatment.
  3. Increase the percentage of treatment in the Policy option by, for example, setting that an attempt to treat a patient is possible only when the chances of success exceed 90-95%.
  4. Avoid creating queues for diagnosis/treatment. If necessary, hire more people and place more rooms that create queues.
  5. Refuse assistance in emergency situations. There is no penalty for this, and the sudden appearance of a large number of patients needing urgent treatment increases the risk of death.
  6. Fix the hospital equipment so that it doesn't break at a critical moment.
  7. In some scenarios, you may need to adjust the temperature. Do not skimp on air conditioners and other similar objects.
  8. Save the game frequently. If the patient has died, you can go back to the previous save file. After loading the game, make more effort to save that person's life (e.g. choose a doctor/nurse with higher skills).
  9. More information about saving patients from death can be found on Why my patients die? page.

You can get this trophy in any scenario. You can get it easier by playing on smaller maps - by managing a smaller hospital, you can more effectively track patients' progress and avoid problems, such as having too many people to treat.

If you didn't get this achievement despite finishing the game, you can go back to one of the previously completed scenarios to get the trophy or start making the hospital "from scratch" again.

Low Brow

Trophy type: bronze - Trophies and achievements in Two Point Hospital - Appendix - Two Point Hospital Game Guide

Trophy type: bronze

How to unlock: Shoot 1 Monobeast.

Commentary: Monobeasts are worms that can appear in hospital (the picture shows an example). This usually happens when you are visited by a patient with Monobrow disease, although it is not a rule.

When you notice a Monobeast in the hospital, hover the cursor over it to change its appearance to a sight - Trophies and achievements in Two Point Hospital - Appendix - Two Point Hospital Game Guide

When you notice a Monobeast in the hospital, hover the cursor over it to change its appearance to a sight. Press the action button to shoot the Monobeast. You have to do it in real time - you can't stop or slow the game down. You need to hurry because in a few seconds the Monobeast will run away and "disappear". When that happens, you will need to wait for another worm to appear.

High Brow

Trophy type: bronze - Trophies and achievements in Two Point Hospital - Appendix - Two Point Hospital Game Guide

Trophy type: bronze

How to unlock: Shoot 10 Monobeasts in a row, without missing a shot.

Commentary: This is a more complex version of the Low Brow trophy described above. You have to wait until there are more Monobeasts in the hospital. Save the game state in advance in case you miss a shot. You can also go to extreme measures and undo the hospital premises to make Monobeasts an easier target. The game informs you about a successful series of shots with a Kill Streak message.

Generating Business

Trophy type: bronze - Trophies and achievements in Two Point Hospital - Appendix - Two Point Hospital Game Guide

Trophy type: bronze

How to unlock: Make sure that the medical equipment explosion injures someone.

Commentary: This trophy, unfortunately, forces you to deliberately sabotage your hospital and cause harm to staff/patients. However, this isn't difficult to do - you can't allow hired Janitors to fix devices in the hospital. When a device's energy bar drops to zero, it will explode. This can damage the person standing next to it.

High Altitude Health Service

Trophy type: silver

How to unlock: Get one star in each hospital in the Pointy Mountains region.

Commentary: This trophy/achievement is linked to the first DLC - Bigfoot. If you have a PC version, you need to purchase the add-on separately. If you play the PS4 or XONE versions, the DLC content is available immediately.

The Bigfoot DLC adds three new maps. Get at least 1 star out of three in each of them.

The New Gold Standard

Trophy type: gold

How to unlock: Get 54 stars.

Commentary: This trophy/achievement is linked to the first DLC - Bigfoot. If you have a PC version, you need to purchase the add-on separately. If you play the PS4 or XONE versions, the DLC content is available immediately.

54 isn't the maximum number of stars you can get in the game, although this is the vast majority of them. This is, of course, a very time-consuming trophy/achievement - try to pass the main and the Bigfoot DLC scenarios by earning 3 stars in each of them.

You can find more information about getting stars in the description of the County-Wide trophy. We also recommend the Mission tips page, which will help you get stars in the main campaign.

Now Even Cheesier

Trophy type: bronze

How to unlock: Complete the "Cheesier Gubbins" research project in Swellbard.

Commentary: This trophy/achievement is linked to the first DLC - Bigfoot. If you have a PC version, you need to purchase the add-on separately. If you play the PS4 or XONE versions, the DLC content is available immediately.

Cheesier Gubbins is the name of the third research project available at Swellbard hospital in the Bigfoot DLC. All you have to do is to develop it.

De-Lux Suite

Trophy type: bronze

How to unlock: Have a level 5 De-Lux Clinic in the Underlook Hotel.

Commentary: This trophy/achievement is linked to the first DLC - Bigfoot. If you have a PC version, you need to purchase the add-on separately. If you play the PS4 or XONE versions, the DLC content is available immediately.

The clinic is one of the rooms available in the Bigfoot DLC in the Underlook Hotel scenario. In order to increase its level, you just need to decorate it.

Furry Good Review

Trophy type: bronze

How to unlock: Make Bartholomew F. Yeti amazed with your hospital.

Commentary: This trophy/achievement is linked to the first DLC - Bigfoot. If you have a PC version, you need to purchase the add-on separately. If you play the PS4 or XONE versions, the DLC content is available immediately.

Bartholomew F. Yeti is an important patient (VIP) who may appear during the Swellbard scenario. To get the trophy, you must develop your hospital and take care of its high level to make the VIP happy. Also, make sure that none of the hospital patients die during Bartholomew's stay.

Curing Spree

Trophy type: bronze

How to unlock: Get a Curing Spree on Topless Mountain.

Commentary: The trophy/achievement is associated with the second DLC - Pebberley Island. If you have a PC version, you need to purchase the add-on separately. If you play the PS4 or XONE versions, the DLC content is available immediately.

To get a curing spree in the Topless Mountain scenario, you have to treat the patients perfectly. You don't have to focus on this trophy/achievement right from the very beginning of the stage. Try to expand the hospital first, that is, take care of good equipment and qualified personnel. In addition, it is worth saving regularly, so when any unforeseen problems appear, you can return to an earlier point and make better decisions.

The Second New Gold Standard

Trophy type: gold

How to unlock: Get 63 stars.

Commentary: This is an even more complex version of The New Gold Standard trophy/achievement and the most difficult among those focused on getting stars. You must collect all the stars available in the game which means getting 3 stars in each scenario - this includes stages from the main campaign and from both DLCs.

Busman's Holiday

Trophy type: silver

How to unlock: Get one star in all the hospitals of the Pebberley Island.

Commentary: The trophy/achievement is associated with the second DLC - Pebberley Island. If you have a PC version, you need to purchase the add-on separately. If you play the PS4 or XONE versions, the DLC content is available immediately.

The Pebberley Island DLC adds three new maps. Get at least 1 star out of three in each of them.

Life, the Universe and Everything

Trophy type: silver

How to unlock: Complete Wave 42 on Topless Mountain.

Commentary: The trophy/achievement is associated with the second DLC - Pebberley Island. If you have a PC version, you need to purchase the add-on separately. If you play the PS4 or XONE versions, the DLC content is available immediately.

Waves in the Topless Mountain scenario are groups of patients who can be treated. To complete a wave, you need to meet the required ratio of cured patients. This is a difficult and time-consuming trophy/achievement - the successive waves increase the number of patients and the required ratio.

Try to respond immediately to all possible problems, expand the hospital with new reception points and rooms for patients, but at the same time look for opportunities to reduce costs (e.g. staff salaries) in order to "be in the black" for as long as possible. The hospital's debt is inevitable, but it must happen as late as possible.

Symbiosis

Trophy type: silver

How to unlock: Unlock every plot in Overgrowth.

Commentary: The trophy/achievement is associated with the second DLC - Pebberley Island. If you have a PC version, you need to purchase the add-on separately. If you play the PS4 or XONE versions, the DLC content is available immediately.

Overgrowth is one of the hospitals found in the Pebberley Island DLC. You can unlock the next plots for free by completing the scenario goals - you must unlock a total of 32 different plots. This takes a long time and requires a significant expansion of the hospital.
