This page of the guide to Trek to Yomi contains a walkthrough of the sixth chapter. Our walkthrough explains, e.g. how to complete the 3 puzzles with symbols and the puzzle with 4 obelisks, how to escape from Yomi, how to defeat the boss Ara-Mitama, and when you have to make the third choice.

Go right and collect arrows on your way. By choosing the first upper path, you will find a shrine with an artifact - Yutsu-Tsuma-Gushi next to it (see the picture).
Return to the main path and head right. Soon you will encounter hostile spirits. Use stun combinations and ranged weapons against stronger enemies. There will also be a wraith - defeat the enemy before it summons too many reinforcements.
You will reach a new shrine. Explore the path to the right of it to find ammo for ozutsu. You can now follow the upper path.
You will be attacked by ghosts - if the enemies position themselves properly, you can kill them all with ozutsu. Attacks combined with a change of direction can also be helpful.
First puzzle with symbols
You will face more ghosts in the next room. Here, too, you can use ozutsu or simply parry and do stun combos. One of the enemies will be a Shade - remember that it can surprise Hiroki after teleporting.
After winning all the fights, you will have to solve a puzzle with symbols - it is similar to the ones from the previous chapter. Stand on the pressure plate, interact with it and choose the appropriate symbols for each of the 3 rings. The solution to the puzzle is in the picture above. Successfully solving the puzzle will trigger a cut-scene of a conversation with the ghost.
From now on, the hero will be followed by an Orb. It can automatically interact with the obelisks - you just need to get close enough to them.
The first activated obelisk will teleport you to a new location - you will find shurikens, arrows and a shrine nearby.
Go right and be ready for a sudden ghost attack. The next group will include, among others, a shade. As always, focus on parrying its attacks after it appears next to the hero.
There is an obelisk at the end of the path. As in the case of the previous one, approaching it will teleport the hero. In the new location, you will start descending right away, but you don't need to perform any additional activities during it.
Continue along the main path and pick up ozutsu ammo. In the area shown in the picture 1, on the right, you will find the Stamina Upgrade marked in the picture.
Take the path towards the left hill. In the place shown in picture 2, you can also find an artifact - Maggots.
Return to the main path and head towards the upper right passage. Along the way, you have to defeat more ghosts, among which there will also be a shade.
You will reach a large portal. You just have to get close to it and the teleport will move Hiroki to a new place. Go left here. After a while, you will reach a shrine.
Head left. Archers will shoot at you from the distance. The key to survival is to aggressively deal with the enemies in the foreground, because the covers will be destroyed one after another. Their durability is symbolized by gradually changing symbols on the surrounding objects. Besides using melee combos, remember about ranged weapons.
After leaving the location with archers, go left to find ozutsu ammunition, the artifact shown in picture 2 - Ebikazura Grapes and a new shrine.
Second puzzle with symbols
In the next location, there is a new puzzle with symbols that has the same assumptions as the previous ones. After interacting with the pressure plate, rotate the rings to match the symbols to those presented in the picture above.
Use the newly created upper passage. The path to the top is guarded by ghosts, including a shade and a wraith. Try to deal with the wraith quickly to prevent it from summoning more enemies.
Climb the shelves and ignore the falling off elements. Defeat another wraith and the other ghosts. You will reach a shrine where you can replenish your ammunition.
Select the upper left passage from the shrine and defeat more opponents. After the battle, break open the door of the left building. Use the ladder and follow the path shown in the picture above. It will lead you to the artifact hidden in the darkness - Thunder Drum.
Go back to the ladder. By choosing the passage on the left, you can reach the side area with an ozutsu ammo crate.
By choosing the passage on the right, you will reach the next shrine. There is more ammunition to its right.
Third puzzle with symbols
Now use the main stairs next to the shrine. In the new location, go to the top of the screen.
You will reach a new pressure plate with another puzzle with symbols (the rotating upper statue may show the missing third symbol). We have shown the solution in the picture above. Complete the puzzle to create a path on the right.
Puzzle with 4 obelisks
You have to deal with another puzzle by activating the obelisks in the correct order. You do this by approaching them so that the orb following the protagonist can automatically interact with the obelisks.
The correct order of activating the obelisks is shown in the picture:
- second from the right,
- first from the left,
- first from the right,
- second from the left.
Remember to walk around the obelisks that you do not want to activate at the moment from afar. Completing the puzzle will activate a large portal.
You will find yourself in a new place - follow the linear path. There is a single obelisk near the starting point.
You will be teleported again near a new shrine.
Fighting blighted monsters
Head right. From this point on, you'll start encountering the blighted monsters you've dealt with in chapter 4. Watch out for more durable armored creatures - block or parry their attacks and wait for a good time to counterattack.
After defeating the initial groups of monsters, you will end up in the area presented in the picture. On the right, there is an artifact - Ookamuduminomikoto, shown in the picture. After getting the collectible, activate the obelisk at the top of the stairs.
You will reach a new location - start by examining the hut on the left, marked in picture 1.
Inside the hut there's a scroll with a new skill - it's a heavy attack that can stun enemies. Leave the hut and save the game at the nearby shrine.
Go right and fight monsters along the way. You will meet a sniper again on the moving bridge. As a reminder, you can eliminate these enemies from a distance or by running towards them and rolling to avoid the fire.
After eliminating the monsters, go right. There is an artifact - Totsuka-No-Tsurugi, at the base of the tree shown in the picture above. Go up, get the ammo and activate another obelisk.
In the new location, start by using the shrine and then head towards the upper bridge. You will encounter many monsters on your way, but they shouldn't be a challenge.
In the burning area shown in the picture 1, you will find another artifact - Naginata Tip. Go a bit further to the right. You can pick up the Stamina Upgrade in the place marked in picture 2.
Walk on the boards at the top of the screen. There is a new obelisk on the other side - it will take you to a forest. You can take nearby arrows and use the shrine.
Go right and start fighting new monsters on the bridge. Try to find the sniper quickly and eliminate him - either by reaching him or with by using a ranged attack (consider using ozutsu here). After leaving the first bridge, check the upper area marked in the picture - there is a Health Upgrade there.
Keep going right. You can attack the monsters by surprise - use ozutsu.
You will reach a kind of labyrinth of footbridges. Do actions in the following order:
- Reach point 1 in the picture. There is a new artifact to collect - Tainted Clothing.
- Enter the hut on the right marked as point 2. Inside you will find ammo.
- Reach the obelisk shown marked as point 3 in the picture. Activating it will teleport you to another place.
In the new place, you will find the artifact marked in the picture - Yomotsu Hirasaka. There is also ammunition and a new shrine.
Move right and defeat monsters. One of the last creatures will be a sniper, so try to have at least some health in reserve for this fight.
In the location with stalls and buildings, check out the left alley marked in picture 1. There you will find shurikens, arrows and the artifact on the left cart - Onusa (picture 2).
You can now step into the white light. You will be moved to another place. Follow the linear path towards the large building visible in the distance. On your way, be sure to use the shrine, because you are about to face the main boss of the chapter.
Ara-Mitama boss and third choice
The boss fight is not very difficult, assuming that you have mastered parrying. Unfortunately, there is very little time to react, because Ara-Mitama attacks fast.
If you have problems with timing parries, use blocks instead. However, do not block for too long, because the hero may lose the entire stamina bar and get fatigued. You can also try more risky attacks - stabs.
Don't get cornered. If necessary, perform a roll next to the boss to move to the opposite part of the arena.
You don't have to attack only with your katana, you can also use ranged attacks.
Continue fighting until Ara-Mitama loses all health.
Defeating the boss will trigger a cut-scene. During the conversation with Nigi-Tami, you will have to make an important choice - it will affect the game's ending.
Regardless of your decision, you will move to the final, seventh chapter.
