It cannot be denied that ToF has a quite extensive character creation system with the option to save them, share them with the community, and a huge range of settings. On this page of the Tower of Fantasy guide, you can read everything you need to know about creating and customizing your character.

When can I create a character
You will get a chance to create your own character during the story, shortly after logging into the game on a new server.
However, before starting the game, you can create a prototype of your character on the start screen which you can then import into the actual game. To do this, select the Presets icon.
Using presets and exporting your hero
When creating your character, the easiest option is to use presets. These are characters created for you, ready to play. You can use, for example, the developer's presets. To do this, select the Preset tab in the upper right corner of the character creation screen.
You can also use the creations of the community. ToF fans can often surprise with fantasy and creativity. To do this, select the Popular option in the top right corner. In both cases, to use the presets, just click on the portrait.
If you want to have access to your own character on other servers, select Share in the middle menu. Remember, however, that for this to work, you have to accept the preset by clicking the green Complete button in the lower right corner in the character creator. This works similarly if you want to save your hero directly from the game. There, however, in addition to Share, you have to press Upload.
Each created character has its own ID , if you want to search for a particular one, and you know the signature, select Import in the lower left corner and enter the ID there.
If you want to have more characters to choose from, or load your own hero, select Lobby from the middle menu. Here you will find a tab with community characters, including the most popular ones, as well as with your own or those you liked.
Creating your own character
This is the first category worth considering if you want to create your own character. On the left side you will see 3 tabs: Outfit, Accessory and Shape.
The first one (Outfit) will let you choose your outfit. In addition, you will be able to determine its color. It is worth noting that in addition to the predefined colors, you can also create your own by selecting the Custom option under the color palette.
You can notice Roman numerals above the choice of color. They symbolize various elements of the outfit. You will assign each of them their own color.
Accessory will allow you to choose an accessory for your character - headbands, pirate eye patch and goggles.
In the Shape tab, you can choose your height, neck length, head size and breast size. In the case of the latter, male characters can only regulate their height, while female characters will additionally determine the position of the breasts.
The Hair tab, as the name suggests, will allow you to style your hair. On the right side you can choose the hair style that suits you. Below you will adjust their color (note that you can dye different parts of the hair separately).
In addition, take a look at the gears in the top right corner of the screen. Here you can choose whether you want to use a ready-made hairstyle or create it yourself from various elements.
Additionally, in this tab you can choose a hair decoration - cat or rabbit ears, or goggles.
There may also be occasions where you won't be able to use a certain type of hair with a certain type of outfit, for example a low ponytail doesn't go well with a large jacket.
This is the most extensive menu. Here you will find Face, Eyes, Nose, Mouth, Markings tabs.
In the Face tab, at the top, you can choose between the face presets prepared by the developers. However, nothing prevents you from using the menu below and personally shape the features of your character. You just need to select the body part on the right side of the screen and then adjust its shape in the radial menu.
Eyes will allow you to choose all aspects of the eyes. From the shape of the eyebrows to the color of the pupils. By using the tabs in the upper right corner, you will select the eye element you want to work on.
As for the Nose, the developers made on an interesting choice - male characters can choose 1 out of 3 types of nose looks, while female characters only have one option. Of course, everyone can set features such as height, width, and nose front/back.
In the case of the mouth, the player can only choose its height, width, front/back and curvature (from a serious face to a slight smile).
As for the markings, first of all, pay attention to the tabs in the upper right corner. Style will allow you to change the color, while Position will allow you to place the selected element anywhere on the face, thanks to the square marked above.
Next to it, you also have Copy (allows you to create 2 identical patterns) and Symmetry (you will create symmetrical markings, not the same).
At the very bottom, you will define the angle and size of the selected attribute.
The middle menu is very useful in character creation. Below you will find all descriptions of options starting from the top.
If you press the camera symbol, you will be able to zoom in and out.
We have already written about the 2 options listed below - they allow you to save your character (Share) and view various saved presets (Lobby).
The Undo will undo your last appearance change. However, Reset will completely clear all changes made so far.
At the very end is Random, thanks to which you can use the algorithm to create your character. The computer will choose different characteristics for you, and you will decide if you like any of them.
Changing the character's appearance mid game
There may be times when you want to change your appearance during the game. To do this, open the Backpack menu and then select Outfits. This will allow you to remake your character's appearance.
However, it is worth mentioning that it is not free. While you can change the outfit (by the way, you can buy new clothes for Tanium (premium currency) or receive them as a part of the exploration rewards) and accessories without any consequences, more in-depth changes will cost you.
As a gift, the creators give players the Beauty Beauty Voucher, which will allow you to change your appearance for free. Unfortunately, you will have to pay 100 Dark Crystal for the next more serious aesthetics changes.
