Money is an important aspect not only in real life, but also in the ToF. On this page of the guide you will learn about all available currencies in the game, how you can get them and what to spend them on.

Gold

Gold in ToF is a universal means of payment. You can spend it, e.g. to improve everything, from weapons to Matrices. Without gold, you will not be able to level up your equipment, gain new weapons stars, etc.

You can get them in various ways - for completing quests, opening Supply Pods and other chests. It is even possible to buy gold with a different currency in a regular store or Support Store.

Dark crystal

Dark crystal is a bit rarer currency, something similar to the Primogems from Genshin Impact. With this currency you can buy various nucleuses, Vitality solutions or vouchers. You will quickly earn this currency at the start of the game, but mostly from one-time rewards that don't get renewed.

That is why it is also worth getting this currency in other ways, like login to the game regularly, leveling up the Battle Pass, being a member of a Crew (guild) and completing tasks there, participating in PvP games and taking high places in the ranking, or doing tasks from the Adventure Menu.

Tanium

Tanium is a currency that can only be earned in one particular way - by spending real money. Tanium can be spend on limited gift packs, from which you can receive materials or other currencies.

Energy crystal dust

Energy crystal dust is the currency you receive for using Vitality in modes such as Joint Operation, Dimensional Trials, Interstellar Exploration, Omnium Beacon and Spacetime Domain. When you participate in these events, a small part of the Vitality used turns into Energy crystal dust.

This way, you can get another means of payment that you will be able to use in the Crystal Dust Store. You can exchange this currency for modules needed to upgrade your weapons, and even gifts for a specific Simulacra.

Black gold

The next currency is Black gold, which takes the form of tokens. You can get them by using the Gold nucleus. For each Gold nucleus spent, you will receive one Black gold.

You can trade this currency in a special Weapon Store, exchanging tokens for real weapons, both SR and SSR rarities.

Base chip

Another type of money is Base chip. They work in a similar way to Black gold, with the difference that to get them, you have to spend the so-called Proof of Purchase in Special Orders.

Base chip serves as payment in a special Matrix Store. There you can buy Matrix Boxes that will contain a given type of Matrices, i.e. weapon attachments.

Merit

Merit is a currency that you can only earn in one way - by joining a Crew (Guild) created by other players. As a member of the Crew, you'll be able to complete quests for which you'll earn Merit.

You can trade it in a special Crew Store. There you can buy, for example, weapons, relic shards, and even Potent Omnium crystal, which is used to upgrade Suppressors.

Training points

Another type of currency that you can earn by completing trainings in Training Facilities.

You can spend these points in the Point Store.

Achievement points

You will earn these points by completing various achievements that can be found in the Achievement tab. It is true that you cannot spend them in any store, but after obtaining the appropriate amount, you will get rewards such as Gold nucleus, Proof of Purchase and Mighty Mushroom, which increases the character's maximum stamina by 50.

Support points

There are two ways to get Support points. The first is to create a team and help new players, and the second is to help returning players, but in this case you will receive Return Support points.

You can spend them in a special Support Store. You will find there, among other things, materials needed to upgrade weapons, titles and Black nucleus.

Amusement park

The last currency at the moment is Amusement park. You can get it by participating in the Amusement Facilities located on Cetus Island.

To spend this kind of money you have to go to Cetus Island and find Enfi who runs her shop there. In it, you can buy various dishes, materials and frames for your avatar.
