Caesar in Gaul is the first large DLC for Rome II: Total War. Unlike in the original game, this time you do not have to conquer the entire antic world. You may choose to play as Julius Caesar or as a leader of one of the major barbaric tribes: the Arverni, the Suebi, and the Nervii, through a military campaign the stake of which being domination over the land of Gaul. This guide to Rome II: Caesar in Gaul is intended for players who have played out at least one campaign in the original game and are acquainted with the major gameplay rules. It focuses on the differences between the base game and the add-on, and also gives numerous tips on effective use of new gameplay mechanics. The new campaign is not only more demanding, but also more dynamic.
