How to play Total War: Arena with friends? Total War Arena Guide & Walkthrough

Last update: 28 February 2018

You can play the game with your friends. When a few people (at least two) join a single team, it can be seen while waiting for all players (the white line connects members of a single team). All members of a team receive additional 10% experience and loots (optionally 50% during special events).

In the Social tab you can select the tab Private lobby - How to play Total War: Arena with friends? - FAQ - Total War Arena Game Guide
  1. To join a single team you must open the "Social" tab and type in the player's nick in the browser. Then you must invite him or her to your friends list. If you have a problem with finding/typing the nick, let one person type a message on the global chat (bottom left corner of the screen). Then simply click the nick - this also enables you to invite that person to friends.
  2. The second step is creating a party with active friends by inviting them. An invited person must respond in one minute. The invitation will appear in the bottom right corner as an alert. Once all players are in the party, each of them must press "Play" button. Game searching will start once all players are ready. The current status (who is ready and for who you're waiting) can be checked in the "Social" tab.
