Mission 2.5: Calypso Casino - Extraction Rainbow Six Vegas Guide

Your main objective of this entire chapter will be to rescue one of the VIP's. He is currently being held inside the casino. Once you've rescued the civilian, you will have to escort him to an extraction zone. It's not going to be difficult, however you will have to be very thorough, so no one manages to surprise your team. You will also have to secure each room before proceeding to the next one.

You start off inside an unguarded corridor (#1). Head on to the next corridor. You will come across a single door. Open it. You will end up on a roof of a casino building. Turn left. You should be able to find several rappel hooks here (#2). Order your teammates to use these objects. I would recommend that you use the left hook. Wait for the rest of the squad to do the same thing.

I would recommend starting out by pressing the right action key. Doing this will allow the rest of the team to slide down a little (#1). Once you're ready, press the assault button. It's the middle action key. As a result, your teammates will brake the windows. Go ahead and join them (#2) to increase the chances of organizing a successful attack.

Once you're inside the room, start shooting at the visible terrorists. You have to be quick about it, as they will be stunned only for a short period of time. Most of them will be standing in front of you (#1). Also, you will have to make sure that none of the terrorists kills the hostage. The next group is located on your left (#2). Just as before, you will have to take care of them swiftly. I would recommend choosing long bursts, instead of single shots. Use covers if you have to reload your current weapon.

Once you've dealt with the first group of terrorists, order your men to hide behind a closest cover. One of these objects will be located on your right (#1). You should be able to take out all of the remaining terrorists from here (#2). Lean out only for a second or two. Choose single shots and try to aim at the head, instead of a body. Don't let anyone near the stairs.

Once you've secured this entire area, go ahead and talk to the hostage (#1). Pressing the SPACE key will allow you to give him orders. He can either follow you or stay in one place. Head on with the whole team towards the stairs. You will have to go a new room. The entrance will be located on your right (#2). You shouldn't have any problems finding it.

Once again, head on to the right corridor (#1), however make sure that the hostage stays behind. Enter the room with the rest of the team at your side. Be careful, though. Some of the terrorists are hiding around the corner (#2). Take them quickly. I wouldn't recommend using any of your grenades. You're going to need these objects later during this mission. The most important thing here is to kill the terrorists before they decide to fight back. Go back to the hostage and order him to follow your lead.

Once you've reached a new area, order the hostages to stay put. There are some new terrorists here. Be careful, because they will be hiding on your right (#1). You will have to take them out very quickly, so you don't lose any of your squad members. Thankfully, you should be able to find an equipment crate here (#2). Open it and rearm yourself. You won't need a new gun, especially since this is the last level of this chapter.

You've got two choices here. You could go over to the balcony, however I wouldn't recommend choosing this path. Instead, turn left and use the stairs to get down to a lower level (#1). Order the hostage to hide on your right. The rest of the team should get closer to the windows. Your men will automatically start shooting at the visible terrorists (#2).

Be careful! One of the terrorist may actually try to surprise you and your team. He's probably going to attack you from the rear. That's where the stairs are located (#1). It's very important that you take him out quickly. Order your men to stay here. Try getting closer to the windows and eliminate several other terrorists (#2). Take a look at your map if you can't see them.

I would recommend going to your left (alone). You will come across a single door. Stay here. Take your time to observe your surroundings (#1). You should be able to take out at least 2-3 terrorists. Once they're gone, enter the room and hide behind the closest object (#2). Kill more enemy soldiers. You will have to wait for some of them to reveal their positions.

You will have to be very careful here. There are a few snipers here. Most of them will be hiding on the left balcony (#1). Use the tactical view to locate them. After that, neutralize this threat with the help of the rest of the team. Make sure that the area is clear. Gather the whole team around your position, including the hostage. Head on to a nearby staircase (#2). Make sure that the rest of the squad is in front of you. Focus most of your attention on protecting the hostage.

Once you're on the upper floor, head on to a new corridor (#1). This path leads to an underground parking lot. Be careful, though. A larger group of enemy soldiers is hiding here. The enemies are just around the corner. Order the rest of the team to take care of this problem. Thankfully, you shouldn't encounter any other units. Head on to a double door (#2). You won't have to use any cameras here.

DON'T shoot at the visible soldiers. They are your allies (#1). Start moving towards them. You will have to leave the car park. Head on to a designated area. This is the extraction point. You will have to wait for the hostage to get here. After that, listen to what the allied agents have to say (#2).

Just as before, you will have to wait for an allied gunship to arrive (#1). Wait for the machine to land. After that, order your men to take a seat inside the helicopter (#2). There's a short flight ahead. After that, this whole chapter will come to an end.
