You can easily recognize contamination zones.

Contamination Zones are high contamination areas, marked with the red symbol of biological contamination. The screenshot above shows an example entrance to such zone. Each of these zones mainly contain collectibles in form of phones (Comms). In all, there are 15 phones to find, this equals 3 phones for one contamination zone. The game will reward you for getting all the items from contamination zones with an achievement and a cosmetic item (Backpack Trophy).
