Supply Drop | Additional Activities in The Division 2 The Division 2 guide, tips

Last update: 01 March 2019

In the Division 2, Supply Drop is one of the rarest side activities, and at the same time, an activity that has the shortest time limit. There will be a few supply chests appearing in the marked location on the map, and you need to reach them before the opponent does. This chapter will tell you more about the activity.

When activity of this type appears on the map, travel to the marker as soon as possible, as you only have several dozen seconds until the opponents reach the location. Your job is to reach the supply drop and interact with it to retrieve items found inside. As your enemy has the same goal, a firefight will surely ensue. The enemies will be incoming in small waves, from all sides - look at your minimap regularly and look from which direction the enemy is coming (the map will receive a red tint which will point you to the direction of the incoming opponent). Moreover, you need to watch out for enemies that attempt to interact with the chests - if you don't eliminate them fast enough, the chest will be lost.

When completing supply drop activities, remember about these few tips:

  1. Enemies will be more focused on retrieving the contents of the chests rather than fighting you. As a result, constantly monitor the state of the chests, to avoid a situation where an opponent has sneaked to a drop and picked up the contents.
  2. Try to reach the drop zone as soon as possible. If you're fast enough, you'll be able to open at least one chest before the enemy approaches the location - this will facilitate protecting the remaining chests.
  3. Don't try to open the chests when there are enemies nearby or they are shooting at you. Opening supply chests require interacting with the object for a few seconds, while your character will be exposed. It is better to clear out the area and open the chests only then.
