Last update: 02 July 2018

Attach a headset

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege is strongly based on sounds. To have maximum control over the gameplay and to be able to distinguish various sounds, you should use a headset instead of speakers.

Watch the instruction movies

Before you start playing, you should spend a few minutes on watching the instruction movies available from the game menu. They will enable you to learn the basics of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege and they will provide you with free points.

Complete all Operations

The next step is completing all artificial scenarios in which you must, for example, eliminate all targets, save the hostages, deal with rooms filled with mines etc. Completing the training and completing all 11 scenarios will be awarded with plenty of experience points and fame points. You will also receive an interesting skin for one of the available weapons.

Play a few games in the Terrohunt mode

Once you complete the singleplayer training - Operations - you can start playing with other players. The best option for the beginning is to participate in a few cooperative missions. You will join other players and your task will be to defeat enemies controlled by artificial intelligence.

Learn the maps

Before you start multiplayer matches and check your skills against other players, you should spend some time on learning the maps. This will make it easier for you once you start the rank matches.

Meet the operators

Learning the operators will enable you to pick up the right men for the right tasks. Each operator available in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege features unique stats and skills. More information about the operators can be found in one of the chapters of this guide.

Weapons customization

When you unlock a new operator, spend some time to check his weapons. From the operators menu you can change weapons and modify them, for example by adding a crosshair, changing the weapon grip etc.

Learn how to use drones and cameras

Drones and cameras are powerful espionage devices that will help you gain tactical advantage over the opponent. It is very important to learn how to use them. More information about drones and cameras can be found in one of the chapters of this guide.

Multiplayer games until level 20

Once you gain required knowledge about the gameplay basics, cameras, drones, operators, and maps, you can start playing in multiplayer mode. This mode will be the main mode that will enable you to reach level 20 and join the ranking matches. More information about the multiplayer mode can be found in one of the chapters of this guide.

Ranking matches

Once you reach level 20, you can finally start playing in ranking mode and try reaching the highest rank in a season. Rules in these matches differ from the ones in the regular multiplayer mode.
