Besides investigations and tactical missions, This Is The Police 2 offers two more types of calls. They are easier and they don't require a lot of time. Below you can find their descriptions.
Intervention
The most common and easiest type of calls. They appear on the map and have a time limit. Click on an intervention to learn its details and to check its minimum amount of experience points required for your officers to be able to intervene. An intervention is treated as ignored when you don't answer within the time limit. The farther the place related to a call, the longer it will take your officers to get there.
The intervention panel appears when you reach an intervention site. You get three actions that require specific skills of your officers or they can require them to have certain items. Your choice depends on available police officers and their skills. If you chose right, the intervention will end with success. If not, you will either get another screen with possible choices or be informed that the suspect has escaped.
Requests from "friends"
These missions have two distinct types. Brown colored missions markers represent those with no time limit, while green ones have a timer on them. These requests are given to you by citizens of Sharpwood. They aren't mandatory - ignoring them doesn't give you any penalties. However, completing them will make the game a little bit easier.
By completing these requests, you can unlock shops where you can sell evidence or buy items that will allow you to bribe witnesses. These missions can also give you access to various trainings that will improve your officers' skills. Some of these requests will require you to have specific items. Don't accept a request if you don't have required items. The costs of purchasing these items can be bigger than the reward that you get by fulfilling requests.
These missions also require a loyal officer. Some of the quests can be completed by any of the loyal police officers. However, there are a few that will require specific skills.
