The Mines of the Raven is one of the campaign missions in They Are Billions. You unlock this mission after The Hunter's Meadow and defeating an Infected Swarm. This is the first mission in which you have to complete objectives that aren't about eliminating enemies. How to start: unlocks after The Hunter's Meadow.

Mission objective:

1. Colony population: 700.
2. Gold production: 200.

Note - we recommend unlocking Accommodation technology and Tavern building. It increases significantly the amount of received gold.

The mission

The initial expansion of the base is similar to other missions.

1. Start as always - place 3 Tents, then 2 Hunter Cottages, an additional 2 Tents. After receiving the gold, place 2 Sawmills.
2. First, start the expansion to the south - there, you will find stones on which you need to set the Quarry.
3. Once you collect enough resources, build Soldier's Center and start recruiting Rangers. Try to build a few additional Sawmills - you will need a lot of wood.
4. Around day 5, surround the base with a wall - this will stop enemies.

It is very important to start collecting stones as soon as possible.

1. An iron deposit is north of the starting location - go there as quickly as possible and start excavating this resource. Thanks to it, you will be able to train Soldiers.
2. The first horde of infected will arrive on the 18th day - build a second wall and train more units before the enemies arrive. Another horde will appear on day 30.
3. Once you are done defending your lands from the horde, focus on the development of the colony and build additional houses to increase income. If you have access to a Tavern, build it in close proximity to a large number of houses.
4. Pay attention to the 4 icons on the mini-map - they show the location of gold deposits. If you go there and put a Quarry on them, you can increase the income by 200-300 pieces per each building of this type. This is very helpful in completing this mission.

Tips

Gold deposits can significantly increase gold production.

Below you can find a few tips for The Mines of the Raven mission:

1. Despite the fact that you don't have any objectives related to eliminating enemies, you should train new units - your colony is still in danger.
2. The key to success is to place a lot of houses - don't forget to leave unprotected, as the enemies can infect them fast.
3. Use gold deposits located in the corners of the map - build a Quarry there to get 200-300 gold per each building of this type.
4. The Tavern building is very useful in this mission - its presence in the immediate vicinity of the houses increases the amount of produced gold. In addition, this building allows you to train veteran rank units.
