This crossroads is the most important decision in the episode one. Depending on where you go, the game will unfold differently.

If you choose Mr. Toad's - the events in Mr. Toad's apartment will not go any different but you will not be able to save Lawrence.

If you choose Lawrence's - the events in Mr. Toad's apartment will be the same as in the first case - the only difference is one of cut-scenes, in which Mr. Toad expresses his anger at your late arrival.
