The Walking Dead Season 2 offers you an opportunity to take choices, which will, later on, have bearing on what happens next. In each episode ( just like in the previous installment of TWD,) you will find several such choices, and they have been thoroughly described in the guide. It does not, however, state if the choice is good or bad. Sometimes, you will have to save one character out of two so, it is impossible to talk here about a good choice and a bad choice. Towards the end of each episode, you will get the opportunity to compare your choices to the choices that the other players made.
IMPORTANT CHOICE 1
[Location: Chapter 2 - 16 Months Later]
In this chapter, you are going to make your first important choice. It is going to depend on you if you try to help Christa, or run away and leave her to the attackers.
1.) [Distract scavengers] - The first option is to distract scavengers, which will allow Christa to escape.
2.) [Sneak Away] - The second option is to walk away from there. At some point, Christa will notice you urge you to escape. You will also notice Christa being impaled by one of the enemies, with a sharp object.
Regardless of the choice you have taken, the course of the game will be the same - you will have to escape.
IMPORTANT CHOICE 2
[Location: Chapter 6 - Finding Food]
In this chapter, you will have to take the second choice, of the five, in this episode. It is going to be your choice to leave the dog alive (in this case, however, it is a bad choice), or kill it and free it from its misery.
After you parry the dog's attack, you need to approach it and select either of the two options.
1.) [Kill Dog] - You kill the dog (free it from its misery)
2.) [Leave Dog] - Leave the dog be (you leave it to its misery )
Regardless of what you do, the course of the story will be the same. Clementine will be exhausted and take rest on a stone. You will also be attacked by a walker.
The noticeable difference in this chapter is the cutscene. If you leave the dog be, you will see Clementine walk away from the site and the dog will die slowly. If you chose to kill the dog, you will witness Clementine killing the animal and walk away.
IMPORTANT CHOICE 3
[Location: Chapter 11 - The Killing Fields]
In the last chapter, there will be two important choices to make. The first one is performing an act of mercy and giving water to one of the men that attacked Christa.
The victim will ask you for water. The game will give you a choice.
1.) [GIVE WATER] - you give him water
2.) [REFUSE WATER] - you refuse to give him water
Regardless of your choice, the course of the story will be the same. The only difference that you experience in this episode is the short cutscene where you see the victim drinking water, if you decide to give it, or you see the victim writhe in pain if you refuse water.
IMPORTANT CHOICE 4
[Location: Chapter 10 - Later That Night]
In chapter 10, Nick will apologize for his carelessness (in chapter 7 - New Faces, Nick nearly killed you, due to his carelessness with the gun)
Your conversation with Luke will be interrupted by Nick, who comes to apologize for his behavior.
1.) It's okay. I get it. / Nick will remember that
2.) You were way out of line / Nick will remember that
By selecting the first option, you will forgive Nick for what he has done. By selecting the second option, you do not forgive him for what he has done. In both cases, Nick will remember your disposition. The difference that you will see in this episode is a cutscene in chapter 10- Later That Night and Nick's dialogue line in chapter 11 - The Killing Fields. While talking to Pete in chapter 11, Nick will tell Pete that he apologized to you and that you forgave him. If you haven't done that, then Nick will tell Pete that he apologized, but you have not forgiven him.
IMPORTANT CHOICE 5
[Location: Chapter 11 - The Killing Fields]
You were attacked by a walker and you need to decide whom to help.
1.) If you save Nick you will witness Pete being devoured by walker .
2.) If you save Pete you will witness Nick escaping, from walkers, deep into the woods.
The most important choice in this episode. It is up to you who you save and who will accompany you in the next episode, during your escape from walkers. It is worth noting here that, theoretically, if you save Pete, you will see Nick ESCAPE from walkers, and if you save Nick, you will see the walkers killing Pete. In the cutscene, still before you make the choice, you see Pete being wounded in the leg, with a walker lying next to him. You can speculate that it is a walker bite and Pete may die either way.
