On this page of our guide we have described spellcaster duels available in The Sims 4 Realm of Magic. Spellcaster duels allow you to fight a magical battle with another Sim-spellcaster (Sim wizard). If you win the duel, you have the chance to get a new spell or a new potion recipe. Also, you can advance your spellcaster rank. Below you will find all the most important information - how to challenge someone to a magical duel and what you can get after winning the duel.
How to start a magical spellcaster duel?
You can start a magical duel with any other wizard - just click on the desired Sim, then go to the "Magic" tab and select the magical duel option. A magical duel can take place anywhere, but in the Realm of Magic you will find a Dueling Grounds dedicated to this activity.

What can you gain from winning a duel?
In addition to upgrading your sorcerer's rank, magical duels can be a source of rewards - depending on which duel you take part in. The magical duels in The Sims 4 Realm of Magic are divided into five types:
- Heated Duel
- Friendly Duel
- Duel for Artifacts - Your Sim could win some Wands or Brooms.
- Duel for Ingredients - Your Sim could win some potion ingredients.
- Duel for Knowledge - Your Sim has a chance of learning new Spells.
You won't get any reward for the first two types - the only difference is that in a heated duel, your Sim's magical overload will be greater. Rewards from other types of duels are listed above. However, it's worth knowing that you can only challenge Sim to a prize duel if he has more knowledge than your Sim. For example - if two Sims know the same spells, then they cannot fight each other in a duel for knowledge.
