How to become a wizard?
The easiest way to become a wizard is just to create a new occult Sim of the race "Wizard". Thanks to this, your new Sim at the beginning of the game will be able to start brewing potions or casting spells.
However, if you prefer your former Sim to be a wizard, you will have to go to the Realm of Magic. You get there through a portal located in Glimmerbrook Watch in the world Glimmerbrook. On the spot you have to find one of the sages-they are easy to recognize with the help of unique icons above their heads. Now click on the sage and select the option "Ask how to use magic".
You get the job-you need to collect seven Magic Shards. It is very easy to find them, because they are scattered throughout the Realm of Magic. After completing the task, your character gets the abilities of a wizard.
It's worth noting that if you reach a high level of practical Magic, you'll be able to turn other Sims into witches with a spell, a Ritual of Entry.
How to raise the rank of a wizard?
The rank of magician determines what level of magic is your Sim has. The rank of the wizard increases due to the performance of all actions related to magic, so the more the Sim can, the greater his rank. For these actions it is necessary to prepare potions, exercise sorcery by using the "Study magic" option, after clicking on your character, read books in the realm of magic, learn from sages and engage in Wizarding duels.
Performing magical actions increases the experience bar shown in the image above - you'll find it in the Sim's needs tab. When the bar reaches the end, you will move to a higher rank, and you will receive bonus points that can be spent on magic bonuses.
What are magic bonuses?
Magic power-ups are a kind of perks or skills that improve the Sim or give him certain abilities. This can be faster potion preparation, increased social success, or protection from curses. Magic bonuses can be purchased with the bonus points-these you get by performing magical activities and achieving the next wizard ranks.
How to reset magic bonuses?
If the selected magic bonuses do not suit you, you can return all the bonus points spent. It's enough that you drink a potion called the Re-Training Potion. This way, all bonus points will be returned and you will be able to choose magic bonuses again.
