New Sim traits
The add-on introduces new traits for Sims - Cat person and Dog person. Thanks to these traits, your Sim will love being around a given type of pet, they enter relationships with them faster and has more interactions available, as compared to any other Sim. New traits are mutually exclusive so you can use only one.
New clothes, hair styles and accessories
Dogs and Cats offers several new blouses, trousers, outfits and accessories, such as jewelry. Of course, all that is connected with pets. Apart from that, it adds new hair styles.
New rooms and pet accessories
There also have been innovations when it comes to building. The add-on introduces new accessories for pets, such as scratching rakes, bowls, dispensers, pet food, toys or sleeping places. Also, you can use default rooms, where the above accessories have been fitted. Apart from that, it is possible to build an obstacle course for the pet, which makes for better training.
New plot properties
There also are several new plots:
- cat place and Dog place - homeless cats and dogs love these plots.
- Cats welcome and Dogs welcome - Owners can visit such plots with their pets.
- Friendly den - increases chances of more sizeable litters in pets.
- Training coach - here, Sims can faster improve on their pet training skills.
