Kitchen

One of the key rooms is the kitchen, initially combined with the dining room. You need a couple of cabinets - on whose tops you will be preparing meals - a refrigerator, a stove, and a sink. Optimally, you should put the refrigerator and the stove close to each other - it is best to put a single cabinet between them. In that case, the Sim takes necessary ingredients from the refrigerator, prepares them on the tabletop next to it, and then uses the stove to finish up the meal. Do not forget to put fire alarm above the stove.

Remember about a wastebin and a table with chairs. That is all you need for now. If you want, you may also buy a microwave oven, a coffee-maker, a hood, etc., however, these are not necessary at the moment.

As your Sim family grows, remember to provide them with a proper-sized table and a more spacious kitchen.

Bedroom

The key item in the bedroom is a bed - the more expensive, the better - The Sims 4: Furnishing a house - The house - Sims 4 Guide

The key item in the bedroom is a bed - the more expensive, the better. You should not economize on that, because that will allow your Sim to sleep better and shorter, thus saving a lot of time. You can buy a single bed or a double bed with the view of the future. The other possible objects are: a dresser, where your Sim can change their clothes, optionally a closet, a mirror, etc. In the future, when you have more money, decorate the room, so to improve the Sim's mood. Remember that the bedroom should never be a crossing room, so that other Sims did not wake up the sleeping Sim.

Bathroom

Bathroom is a very (!) important room. You have to buy a toilet, a washbasin, a shower tub or a bathtub. The best bathtubs are the ones that come with a showerhead. Although you cannot afford much, when it comes to the bathroom - just as in bed's case - you should not economize. Buying a more expensive, but a better toilet and bathtub, will allow your Sim to satisfy their basic needs. As for further investments in the bathroom, apart from d?cor, you should remember about closets, a big mirror, a rug, and flowers. If you have more Sims in the family, another bathroom may prove very useful.

Time for a show off comes in further stages (depending on your funds). You can buy a whole lot of elements of d?cor for your living room, such as paintings and sculptures. In the center there may be a bar or a fireplace. However, a lot of work awaits you before you can afford all that.

Office / living room

If you want, you may devote a separate room to all sorts of equipment that help to improve your Sims' skills. These can be: a desk with a PC, a chessboard, a guitar, a violin, an easel, a bookshelf, a treadmill, and others. Initially, it is OK to put such items in the living room. However, later on, it is good to separate these things. May the living room be a place of relaxation and, e.g. loud TV or music. The office should primarily serve the purpose of developing your Sims' skills.
