Achievements | Survival The Flame in the Flood Guide

There are 36 achievements available in The Flame in the Flood, including three hidden ones. Below, you can view all of them alongside their descriptions. Once you've read the descriptions, collecting all of them should not be a problem. Some of them have been provided with hints in brackets.
Pay it forward
 | Start a new game after you have left some items in Aesop's inventory. |
How to obtain it:
Start the game in campaign mode, at Traveler level or in Endless Mode. Transfer, at least, one item into Aesop's inventory and, after the death, start a new game.
Stay warm
 | Craft a campfire. |
How to obtain it:
The bonfire blueprint is in your inventory. Craft it and place it on the ground.
The Grey
 | Kill a wolf. |
How to obtain it:
To kill a wolf, craft an appropriate trap (learn details in Crafting chapter on How to make a trap for Wolves?)
I been everywhere, man
 | Visit every location type in the game. |
How to obtain it:
To obtain this achievement, dock by each of the 10 types of locations in the game. These have been listed in Types of Islands.
Snake Charmer
 | Make a snake bite another animal. |
How to obtain it:
Craft a torch (the blueprint is in the inventory). After you fire it up, snakes start following Scout. This way, lure them near a wolf or a boar.
High Ground
 | Reach High Ground in the campaign mode. |
How to obtain it:
Reach High Ground location. This way, you receive this achievement automatically.
Pack Rat
 | Upgrade your inventory to the maximum. |
How to obtain it:
To receive this achievement, craft for Scout all pouches (28 additional slots in the inventory) and also fit the raft with stashes.
The Path Up
 | Reach Angel Yards in the campaign mode. |
How to obtain it:
Reach Angel Yards location. This way, you receive this achievement automatically.
By A Thread
 | Have 10 active afflictions. |
How to obtain it:
The easiest way to do this is to let yourself be attacked by several different predators at a time. You receive this achievement after the active afflictions list exceeds 10 items.
Animal Friend
 | Beat the campaign mode by not killing any animals. |
How to obtain it:
During the campaign, kill no animals - rabbits, boars, wolves and bears.
The Kingdom
 | Reach The Kingdom in the campaign mode. |
How to obtain it:
Reach The Kingdom location. This way, you receive this achievement automatically.
In Wolf's Clothing
 | Wear a wolf hide outfit. |
How to obtain it:
Craft all of the outfit elements (shoes, trousers, jacket, hat) from wolf hide.
Locusta
 | Poison 20 wolves with polluted bait. |
How to obtain it:
Craft polluted bait and throw it for wolves to eat. Repeat this until you have poisoned 20 wolves.
Vegetarian
 | Survive 20 days in Endless Mode without killing animals. |
How to obtain it:
For 20 days of the in-game time kill no animals, while playing in the Endless Mode.
Arctic Survivor
 | Wear a bear hide outfit. |
How to obtain it:
Craft all of the outfit elements (shoes, trousers, jacket, hat) from bear hide.
Hallelujah
 | Sleep in 20 churches. |
How to obtain it:
Each time that you moor in the Church location, sleep in the temple there. You receive this achievement after you do this for 20 times.
Death on the Trail
 | Dehydrate to death while having dysentery. |
How to obtain it:
To develop dysentery, drink polluted water (to learn more, see Survival chapter on Where to find sources of drinking water?). After that, do not sleep at all, up until the moment that you die.
Terraphobia
 | Travel 10 miles in the river without stopping. |
How to obtain it:
Travel for 10 miles over water. It is easiest to obtain this achievement during campaign mode at Traveler difficulty, over rapid fragments of river and after you have fitted the raft with helm, motor and a durable frame.
Iron Stomach
 | Eat all of the health-damaging foods in one playthrough. |
How to obtain it:
To obtain this achievement, you have to eat: polluted bait, spoiled fish, raw meat and devil's trumpet. At the same time, you cannot die before you eat them all.
Forager
 | Try every type of plant. |
How to obtain it:
To obtain this achievement, you need to eat yucca, corn, reed mace, morus plant, wild garlic and molded bit.
Dead-Eye
 | Kill every animal type with arrows. |
How to obtain it:
Craft bow and use it to kill a rabbit, a boar, a wolf and a bear.
Seamstress
 | Craft 50 articles of clothing. |
How to obtain it:
The easiest way to obtain this achievement is by crafting insulated outfit parts. They require the least materials.
Sickly
 | Contract every affliction. |
How to obtain it:
To obtain this achievement, you have to develop in one playthrough: bacterial infection (eating of raw meat), bone fracture (e.g. after a boar attack), skin burn (being burnt by fire), dysentery (drinking of polluted water), food poisoning (eating of off meat), lacerations (e.g. after a wolf attack), staph infection (they appear if you do not treat your lacerations), sepsis (it appears if you do not treat staph infection), bad clothing (worn off clothes that cannot be worn anymore) and soaking.
Mechanic
 | Fix the raft for a total of 1000 times. |
How to obtain it:
You receive this achievement by fixing the raft on a regular basis.
Under the Stars
 | Survive for 40 days in the Endless Mode by sleeping by the campfire only. |
How to obtain it:
To obtain this achievement, you cannot use buses buildings or roofing on the raft - you can only sleep by the fire.
The Longest River
 | Travel 100 miles over river in the Endless Mode. |
How to obtain it:
Keep traveling until the distance meter reaches 100.
Crafty
 | Craft every possible item. |
How to obtain it:
Craft every item, of the 69 available ones in the crafting menu.
Seafarer
 | Get all upgrades to the raft in a single playthrough. |
How to obtain it:
To obtain this achievement, you cannot die. During a single travel get all of the upgrades for the raft.
Paleo Diet
 | Survive for 40 days in the Endless Mode without eating any plants. |
How to obtain it:
You cannot eat any plants. Focus on hunting game and setting traps for them. Also, you can use the bow to your advantage, which makes hunting rabbits easier.
Rivergod
 | In the Endless Mode, travel 200 miles over river. |
How to obtain it:
Keep traveling until the distance meter reaches 200.
Chatty
 | Talk to all NPCs. |
How to obtain it:
Travel over land and talk to all NPCs that you meet, e.g. Magnolia and Wild Children.
Invincible
 | Have all of your meters full and no afflictions after 20 days of travel. |
How to obtain it:
To obtain this achievement, craft a properly insulated outfit, hoard enough food to fill the hunger meter to 100. Sleep by the fire. You receive this achievement if, with all meters full, you are free of afflictions.
Can Bearly Take It
 | Kill a bear. |
How to obtain it:
You kill a bear by using wolf traps and bow arrows. You can wait for a bit beforehand - around the bear's cave, there often appear wolves that attack it after it leaves its den. Wolf attacks may weaken the beast.
Field Medic
 | Heal 30 afflictions in one sitting (without dying). |
How to obtain it:
The easiest way to obtain this achievement is to soak through and warming up by the fire in turns.
Learned the Hard Way
 | Die in every possible way. |
How to obtain it:
Die mutilated by wolf, bear and killed by boar. Apart from that, die from every affliction and also by depleting each of the meters.
Speed Boat
 | Travel 20 miles with the raft motor off. |
How to obtain it:
In the quay, craft a raft motor and cover 20 miles using it.
