Get warm by the fire
The simplest and at the same time the most intuitive way to maintain body temperature of Scout at a decent level is by getting warm by the fire on a regular basis.
Thanks to this method, not only do you avoid getting cold - thanks to this, you can also dry Scout's clothes. Also, this way, you will not be forced to change worn out clothes. Flames also scare off predators.
You do not need to search for fires and you can craft one yourself. To do this, access crafting menu, select campfire and place it in a convenient spot.
You do not necessarily have to sit by the fire to get warm. You just need to stay around. The downside of this is that any rain will immediately put fire off.
Hide in a building or a means of transport
Abandoned building and buses can be found in the majority of locations. Sleeping in them, apart from affecting survival meters, also allows you to regain your body temperature.
Use appropriate clothing
The Flame in the Flood offers a relatively wide variety of outfits. You can sew shoes, trousers, jacket, gloves and a hat. To craft them, you usually need hide of appropriate animal (with the exception of insulated outfits) and a steel knife. This and other unmentioned ingredients that you learn after you roll over the item in question, in crafting menu.
The below table presents insulation levels of all the outfit elements, by dividing them into categories and providing them with the appropriate number of coniferous trees.

Rabbit hide outfit | Rabbits are most commonly found in camps and in the wilderness. You can recognize them by the characteristic "squeaking" sounds they make, as well as by the holes that they hide in. You kill rabbits with snares or box traps. |

Boar hide outfit | Boars are most commonly found in the wilderness in industrial sector locations. The easiest way to kill them is to use Spring spear trap. |
