Further on in the game, the team significantly expands - this allows to change your squad often

At any moment, in the active team (meaning the one that will go fighting) there can be 6 characters at most, and if you only have enough people at your disposal, it's recommended to fill all the slots. If more playable characters travels in your caravan, you can start planning your team. I recommend one of two following ways.

1) Two giants, two warriors for close-combat, and two characters (archers, Eyvind) for longer distance attacks.

2) Three giants, one or two warriors, and one or two archers.

As already mentioned on one of previous pages of this guide - if playing on normal, or hard difficulty setting, the characters can suffer serious wounds if they lose all the points from their health bar. You should then try to have at least two "substitutes" who can take place in your regular fighting party at any time. Apart form this, it's also a good idea to let individual characters have their sweet time eliminating as many enemies as they can in easier fights - it will really boost their XP.
