Buying supplies should be your last resort. It's better to spend your renown points on other things.

Supplies are more important than morale described on the previous page, because they fulfill the needs of the whole caravan. Keep in mind that if you lose supplies, Clansmen, Fighters and the Varl will start to leave your group, which will affect the morale. Plan each trip in advance and buy enough supplies. You can't foresee how much you will need, but you can at least decrease your losses by investing in this aspect.

The game does not show the exact amount of supplies, just the number of days they will last. It's a well thought mechanics, because the number of days depends on how many members your caravan has. The larger the caravan, the more supplies you need. If you have the opportunity to accept more people into the caravan, don't hesitate. The supplies can be replenished, but you only have one chance to accept someone's offer.

You can acquire more resources in four ways:

• Making progress in the main story - you will receive a generous amount of supplies at several points in the campaign, regardless of your choices. You should not spend them all at once, though, since the game can get uneven so you might end up with no supplies at all.
• Completing side events - I recommend reading the description of events in the walkthrough because the decisions you make will sometimes grant you more supplies. Sometimes the amount is minute, but on some occasions you will receive a couple dozen of units.
• Visiting markets - I recommend using markets as a last resort, only when you don't have any more supplies or you have to travel for a longer time and you only have enough for a couple of days. Supplies in such places can be bought with Renown points, which should rather be spent on character skills.
• Your Clansmen will collect some supplies for you every few days, but usually it's not enough for the whole group. Moreover, you need to spend your supplies on the Clansmen as well. Not as much as on the Warriors, but they are the first ones to leave in tough times.
