Chapter Thirteen - The Fleece Fair (Kingsbridge - a few weeks later) The Pillars of the Earth Guide

Last update: 03 January 2018

Walkthrough for Pillars of the Earth, chapter 13:

Speak with Philip and Jack; find Jonathan

You play as Tom. Enter the scriptorium and speak to Philip. He shares his idea about Jack's future. You can agree immediately or hesitate. After that you have to go outside - you are at the fleece fair. Ask Jack about Aliena and Martha, they stand near one of the stalls. Leave the fair (arrows on the left or on the right).

Jonathan runs forward - Chapter Thirteen - The Fleece Fair (Kingsbridge - a few weeks later) - Book Two: Sowing the Wind - The Pillars of the Earth Game Guide

Jonathan runs forward. Go after him. Enter the cathedral (the arrow in the middle of the screen). Inside, you have to hug the crying boy.

When William Hamleigh arrives, you can confirm the rumors about your death or tell him that you are alive (this is an extremally important decision!).

If, as Tom, you revealed your identity then you have to click on Agnes' grave (below the tree in the center).

Save Jonathan

You now play as Philip. Speak to Jack who struggles with the door. Sadly, it can't be opened. Go right to the exit that leads to the cemetery. However, Andrew won't allow Philip to go that way.

Go to the passage on the left and try to open the grate (to the left from the door near which Jack stands) - Chapter Thirteen - The Fleece Fair (Kingsbridge - a few weeks later) - Book Two: Sowing the Wind - The Pillars of the Earth Game Guide

Go to the passage on the left and try to open the grate (to the left from the door near which Jack stands). The boy manages to rip them out. Follow him (go left).

You are now near the bridge. There, you can come across Remigius, Ellen, Martha and Mary. Speak with every person there - you have to calm Mary down, make her leave her dead husband and run away before the attackers arrive. Sub-prior suggests the word of God and Ellen tells you to use herbs. Take it from Jack's mother. However, even if you have them in your inventory, you still can use the Bible.

You have to decide which method you want to use - if you chose the Bible then you have to first get on the bridge and throw the herbs into the river and use the Bible on Mary again - Chapter Thirteen - The Fleece Fair (Kingsbridge - a few weeks later) - Book Two: Sowing the Wind - The Pillars of the Earth Game Guide

You have to decide which method you want to use - if you chose the Bible then you have to first get on the bridge and throw the herbs into the river and use the Bible on Mary again. After that the group will hide in bushes. However, Mary is still sobbing. William and his soldiers can't hear you. This means that you have to make her stop (the usual mini-game in which you have to stop the white circle when it goes through a sea-green field) - if you fail then the entire story will end in this moment.

Go back to the cathedral, approach Tom who sits on the ground (click on him). The man holds Jonathan in his arms.

Philip gives a speech to the survivors - choose whichever lines you want.
