Walkthrough for Pillars of Earth, chapter 12:

Ask King Stephen for help

You play as Philip who travels to Lincoln. Keep pointing the points on the map - at some point, you can make a choice: go to sleep immediately or go through the camp and reprimand Aliena's knight or don't do that.

When you reach the destination, you have to approach Aliena's knight who stands with another knight. They are in front of the cathedral (on the right).

Approach the king who stands with his brother near the table on the right. Speak to him. You learn that Stephen wants to take a closer look at the castle without making a risk of getting shot with an arrow.

Find a solution for the king's problem

After the conversation you can notice battle shields on the left. Use the clue about the king's safety.

Approach the king and advise him to hide behind a shield - however, this won't be a good idea.

Leave the cathedral (in the bottom of the screen). While you are outside, use the clue about king's safety on the castle (on the left) and on the knight who stands in front of the cathedral.

Go back to the cathedral, approach the king and tell him about your observations. Then, you can suggest him to disguise himself. Now, Stephen will listen to the prior. Tell him about your problems.

During the battle you can decide about your prayer: you can pray for king's victory, his loss, or for peace.

See the truth

Philip experiences something similar to a vision. Approach the beast and see what it symbolizes.

(During the part that takes place in Kingsbridge you can decide who recites Ovid - Jack or Aliena).

During the part when you are talking with empress Maud, you can choose one of the dialog lines. Thanks to that Philip will express his opinion. The result of the prior's visit in Lincoln he gets Market Licence for Kingsbridge (added to "Documents" tab).
