The Serpent Rogue allows you to raise animals in the pen. You just need to send the tamed animal to the Camp or return it yourself and let it Wander - then it will go to the pen. There you can put food in the trough for a certain type of animal - each animal will take as much food as it needs and when it needs, but only what it can and likes to eat. Animals that have suffered damage - just like the hero - will regenerate their health in the pen by depleting the green bar, so make sure that food is always in the pen.

Chickens can lay eggs that will appear in the nests. You can use them while cooking or smash them to get Shells. A hen does not need a rooster to lay eggs. But you have to feed it Seeds, Worms, or Bread Crust.
