What is the Kiosk?
The Kiosk functions as a notice board and can be found in the first location, i.e. the Abandoned House, where you can get additional quests. These take the form of Requests. You need to separately check each page to learn about the request, which will then be saved in your journal. Press E to accept a request, X to decline it, and R to complete it.
Your first request will be to deliver a Healing potion, which is located in the chest in the building. These kinds of tasks are easy, simply leave the item in your Kiosk and the reward will be added to your purse, then you'll just have to wait for new requests to appear. To craft it, combine Berries, Fishbone and Aloe on the alchemy table - first, however, you have collect the required amount of ingredients and inspect them on the research table.
New quests can appear at almost any time - they will be placed by random NPCs appearing nearby. A message on the right side of the screen will notify you when new requests appear. As you progress, the requests will become more complex.
How to get new requests?
New requests will be posted on the board soon after completing the previous ones. Up to 5 requests can be listed on the board at once. You have the option to decline them. However, you won't receive any new requests until you have progressed the game by researching new ingredients and discovering new potions.
The board can potentially inspire you to invent new potion recipes - if you discover new ingredients, the board might even suggest new types of potions.
Still, keep in mind that the rewards for delivering the same type of elixir will continue to decrease. As a result, you'll need to discover new ingredients and craft new potions that you can sell for a higher profit. The Kiosk is the main and most effective way to earn gold.
Research and using the Kiosk to farm
Each time you complete or decline a request, a random NPC will appear to pick up the order or post a new task. This is a good opportunity to:
- Inspect their animal companions - this will help you fill out pages in your Bestiary,
- Rob the clients - by turning into a rat or using a nearby bush,
- Kill them and take their equipment - eliminating random NPCs won't affect the progress of the story.
The game handsomely rewards evil actions. You can keep "farming" potential clients indefinitely by declining requests and waiting for new victims. However, if the opponent brings along tamed animals, they will also take part in the fight. Unfortunately, there's some limits to this item farming method, as many resources and materials can only be obtained in later areas of the game.
No matter how many clients you kill, it won't affect the influx of future requests of the rewards you'll get for fulfilling them. Keep in mind that when the corpses start piling up, it will attract Ghouls.
