On this page of our The Medium guide, you will find a walkthrough for the 17th stage of the game, Thomas' House. We have described all the interactions you need to perform while exploring this area. In this sequence, you have to examine several items to get out of the vision. There are no secrets in this location.

Mask of Joy

You will find yourself in Thomas's ruined house. You can find a mirror there – it allows you to move between worlds.

Start by collecting photos. A wedding photo lies on the fireplace. Put it in your inventory because you will need it in a moment.

A family photo lies in the leaves, near the collapsed passage to the next part of the apartment.

A photo of a pregnant woman is on the boards to the right of the dollhouse.

Arrange the photos on the fireplace, in the order in which they where made:

1. The first will be the wedding photo;
2. The other with a pregnant woman;
3. A third with the whole family.

After placing the photos, use the mirror to go into the spirit world.

On the other side, you will see a fireplace – it will light up if you have arranged the photos correctly.

If you have positioned the photo correctly, the Mask of Joy will appear. Store it in your inventory because you will need it in the future.

Mask of Wonder

To get the Mask of Wonder, you must get four butterflies. That's the only way to get to that mask. We have described what you need to do to get to each butterfly.

The red butterfly is located to the right of the fireplace. All you have to do is cut the skin that is blocking access to it.

Open the dollhouse and hang the mirror from the bottom. This will get you into that room.

After going through the mirror, you can immediately go to the table. A fish-shaped toy lies on it. Pick it up – you will need it for the next part of the puzzle.

There is another skin near the fish figurine – cut it. You must use the razor to reach the butterfly hidden under the skin.

The blue butterfly is under this skin. You need to pick it up and put it in your inventory.

Go back to the dollhouse and take the mirror on the upper left side of the house.

There you will come across a carousel that can hang over a crib. The skin that covers the butterfly is right beneath it. You can't cut it.

Place the fish-shaped toy in the carousel. This will bring back a memory and open the access to the butterfly.

Place the white butterfly in your inventory.

The next butterfly is hidden right next to the bed. Once again, cut the skin with the razor.

You will get the yellow butterfly. You can now go after the mask.

Once you have all the butterflies, go to the chest next to the bed. You must place the butterflies in the correct order.

The order is:

1. Red butterfly;
2. Yellow butterfly;
3. White butterfly;
4. Blue butterfly.

Take out the Mask of Wonder from the chest.

Mask of Calm

Return to the dollhouse and take the mirror from the top right. Approach the bed and look under the pillow.

You will find the Mask of Calm. You have all masks – you can now solve the puzzle.

Dolls

To solve the puzzle you must change the room again. Take the mirror at the bottom of the dollhouse and go to the spirit world.

Find the skin in the right corner of the room – you need to cut it. Use the razor to get inside.

You will see three faceless dolls. Put the masks on them. The correct order is:

1. Mask of Joy;
2. Mask of Wonder;
3. Mask of Calm.

After that, moths will appear – you must avoid them. Run into the mirror. If you don't make it, you will die.
