On this page of the guide to The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, you will find a short description about the fight with Red Hinox.

Red Hinox appears in Eagle's Tower as a Mini-Boss. His attacks are the same as the Orange Hinoxs. There is an additional danger that when he catches you, he will throw you into one of the holes in the floor. You will then fall to the lower level of the tower, which will reset the battle and restore Hinox to full health. You must also avoid the flaming projectiles fired from the traps in the bottom corners of the chamber.

At this stage of the game, you should already be equipped with more weapons. Place bombs under his legs or use a range weapons to defeat him. After winning the fight, you will receive a small key, which is necessary to complete Eagle's Tower.
