On this spoiler-free page of our guide to The Last of Us 2, you can find a high quality map and a list of all secrets available in the Downtown Stage, which is part of the Seattle Day 1 chapter. You visit this location by playing as Ellie. Downtown is the largest and most extensive location of the game. In addition to reading the descriptions of collectibles, we recommend to find their locations on our map. It will make it easier for you to collect them all.

There are as many as 29 secrets that can be found in the Downtown level, namely:
- 18 artifacts
- 5 trading cards
- 2 journal entries
- 1 workbench
- 3 safes
FEDRA Census Document
Red point no. 1 on the map. It's an artifact and you can get it at the very beginning of the stage, which is available after Ellie and Dina will reach the locked Gate East 2 (they get there by riding a horse). This takes place before you even enter the main open area of Downtown.
Take a look at the watchtower adjacent to the locked Gate East 2. The document is in one of the drawers.
Bank Heist Plans
Red point no. 2 on the map. It is an artifact and it can be found inside the ruined Westlake Bank building, which is in the southern part of the main map area.
Once you reach the lobby, you have to deal with a group of infected and then move on to an adjacent room. The document will be in a bag lying next to the body of one of the bandits who tried to rob the bank.
Orange point no. 1 on the map. The safe in the Downtown Stage is located in the same room of the bank where you found the Bank Heist Plans described above. The bank vault code is 60-23-06.
Red point no. 3 on the map. It's an artifact. You can find it after you open the Westlake bank vault. The ancient ring is in one of the bank deposit boxes. You will earn a trophy after obtaining it.
Bank Robber Letter
Red point no. 4 on the map. It is an artifact. It can also be found in the Westlake Bank Vault. The letter lies on a large table next to the bag of money.
Note - Cache Hunter Note
Red point no. 5 on the map. It is an artifact and you can find it in the small ruins shown in the picture, which are located a short distance north of the Westlake Bank building.
After you reach the ruins, find a bag of documents on the ground.
Note to Informant
Red point no. 6 on the map. It's an artifact. You have to reach the partially flooded truck shown in the picture, which is surrounded by water from all sides. It is the north-eastern part of the area that can be explored.
After opening the truck's crate, Ellie and Dina will make a terrifying discovery. You'll find the document among the corpses.
Plea to a Friend Letter
Red point no. 7 on the map. It's an artifact and it's inside the United States Court House. The Courthouse is located at the northern end of the map. The interior of the large building can be accessed from the north-east side. Climb up the truck shown in the picture and after reaching the top balcony enter the building through the window.
Inside the Courthouse you will have to defeat a group of infected enemies. After they have been eliminated, find the stairs leading to the lower floor. As you explore the lower floor, look for the corpse (as shown in the picture), which contains the document.
Training Manual: Crafting
Black point no. 1 on the map. The training manual isn't among the collectibles mentioned at the level selection screen but nevertheless is an important item, as collecting it unlocks a new category of passive skills that can be bought for supplements. The new capabilities, according to their name, are associated with crafting.
Continue the exploration of the lower floor of the court building, where you also found the document described above. Use a melee weapon or throw an item to break the glasses shown in the picture. This will unlock access to the new room.
The training manual lies on one of the shelves.
List of Known WLF Agitators
Red point no. 8 on the map. It's an artifact and you'll find it in the same room of the courthouse where you have found the training manual. The document is hidden in one of the large drawers.
Lt. Torres' Final Memorandum
Red point no. 9 on the map. It's an artifact. Stay in the same room in the courthouse where you found the other document described above. Loot a dead body leaning against a wall.
Orange point no. 2 on the map. The safe in the Downtown Stage is located in a small room of the courthouse which is adjacent to the room in which you have found the two aforementioned notes. The safe code is 86-07-22.
Doctor Uckmann Trading Card
Blue point no. 1 on the map. It's a collector's trading card - a collectible. In order to find it, you have to explore large ruins shown in the picture - they are located a short distance east of the synagogue.
You have to climb to the top floor of the ruins. The trading card is hidden in one of the square containers.
WLF Safe House Supply Note
Red point no. 10 on the map. It's an artifact that was hidden inside the Ruston Coffee cafe located at the northern end of the map. It's a short distance west of the courthouse. The cafe is closed, but you can break any glass - use a melee weapon or throw an item.
You can find the document on the counter of the cafe.
Big Blue Trading Card
Blue point no. 2 on the map. It's a collector's trading card - a collectible. It is located inside Ruston Coffee cafe, where you can find the note described above. The secret is hidden in one of the drawers in the dimly lit corner of the main room.
Orange point no. 3 on the map. The safe in the Downtown Stage is located next to Gate West 2, at the western end of the map. You have to squeeze through a partially open gate.
You'll find the safe in a covered area next to the building. Safe code is 04-51.
Flo Trading Card
Blue point no. 3 on the map. It is a trading card and it is located inside the safe described above, which is adjacent to Gate West 2.
Join WLF Note
Red point no. 11 on the map. It's an artifact, and it's hidden inside Barko's pet store. The shop is in the centre of the map and getting inside won't be that easy. You must have a key that can be found in the Ruston Coffee toilet (red point no. 10 on the map). Use this key to open the side entrance for employees as shown in the picture.
The leaflet is lying on a photocopier.
Das Wort Trading Card
Blue point no. 4 on the map. It's a collector's trading card - a collectible. To get it, you must visit the Valiant Music Shop located in the central part of the map.
After entering the store, go to the main counter and open one of the drawers.
Red point no. 12 on the map. It's an artifact. You need to reach the bridge over an overgrown road. The bridge is adjacent to a music shop and a large white tent.
Enter the small watchtower and open the drawer where you will find the drawing.
Green point no. 1 on the map. Stay in the watchtower next to the music store in the Downtown Stage where you found the document described above. Turn towards the street. Ellie will draw a sketch of her horse in the journal.
Orange point no. 4 on the map. The workbench in the Downtown Stage is located inside a large white military tent located at the western end of the map. It's west of the music store and north of the synagogue.
Letter from Isaac
Red point no. 13 on the map. It is an artifact and it can be found in an area with a tank wreck located south of the synagogue.
Look around for the skeleton next to which there is a bag. Inside the bag you'll find the document.
Emergency Protocols Memo
Red points no. 14 on the map. It's an artifact. You can find it as soon as you approach the synagogue building, a location which is associated with the main story. Before you try to get inside the synagogue, go through the first open gate and find the ladder on the right side (as shown in the picture above).
Examine the watchtower adjacent to the wall surrounding the synagogue on the east side. The document's in a drawer.
Green point no. 2 on the map. You have to explore the interior of the synagogue in the Downtown Stage and complete all the activities that will allow you to get to the upper level of the building. Grab a rope there and start swinging on it to jump to the next balcony.
Don't leave the synagogue yet, but visit the office on the right side. Wait until a conversation icon will appear above Dina's head. Soon after a short chat, the journal icon will appear. Thus, you will be able to make a new journal entry.
Rabbi Saunders' Letter
Red point no. 15 on the map. It's an artifact, and you can find it in the same Rabbi's office on the first floor of the synagogue where you talked to Dina and unlocked the journal entry. Go to a large desk and open its central drawer.
Mutiny WLF Community Supply Chest Note
Red point no. 16 on the map. It's an artifact, and in order to find it, you have to examine the overgrown building shown in the picture. It is located in the central part of the district, a short distance north of the Barko's store side entrance and south of the courthouse.
Reach the roof-covered balcony shown in the screenshot and check out the bag lying on the ground next to the crates.
WLF Recruiter Journal
It is an artifact and the first of several secrets found after leaving the open part of downtown, that is, after returning to the east gate with a canister filled with fuel. Dina and Ellie will reach Serevena Hotel as shown in the picture.
You have to get rid of the infected in the hotel lobby and then climb the stairs leading to the upper floor. Check the hotel room 216. The document will be hidden in a drawer shown in the picture.
Know It All Trading Card
It's a collector's trading card - a collectible. It can be found in the same hotel room 216, in which you have found the journal described above. In this case, open the bedside cabinet between the beds.
Map of Seattle
It's an artifact. You'll get it automatically when you find the corpses of tortured men in hotel room 217.
