This type of puzzle is scattered across the entire game world in The Bard's Tale IV. Shrines open main passages but also those hidden ones, with chests. Shrines are your main puzzle in The Best of Us mission.

- Some shrines feature hints on what should be put inside.
- Also the Magic Mouths can provide hints for this type of puzzle.
- If you are not sure about what should be put into a shrine, leave it. After you explore a bit, you should find the item you need.
Solutions
The Best of Us
The solution to the first puzzle is putting inside the shrine an arm from the broken statue. You will find it right beside the stairs.
The chamber on the left contains a Silver Triangle.
It's the solution for the shrine located right of the main door.
In the chamber on the right, you will find a Silver Square.
Once you bring it to the left shrine, the door will open.
Once you're through the underground chambers, you will encounter one more shrine, this time unrelated to the main mission.
Into this shrine you should put only red lettuce leaves. Behind the door, you will find a Silver Tiara.
Once you're past the puzzle with runes and cogwheels, you'll find a Stone Heart.
You need to put it into the shrine located to the left of the target door.
Past the fire breathing traps ahead of you, you will find a Stone Head, which should be put into the shrine located across the room.
A passage will open.
Another shrine is located near the ink springs.
Fill the bottles with each type of ink and put them into the shrine. A door will open. Remember about taking the recipes from the shelves.
In the next room, you will encounter a similar puzzle.
Collect the ink from the springs above you and open the inventory. Learn the recipes and enter crafting. You'll need to make some black and purple ink. Put the bottles into the shrine in the following order: black, red, purple.
