The section contains a walkthrough of the main quest The Secret of Cialhmar in The Bard's Tale IV: Barrows Deep. In this mission, you will also have to fight a boss called Mangar. You will also find many troublesome enemies.
Find the portal to the Elven Kingdom
As you exit Iwon Rheg you will encounter enemies, who need to be defeated. One of them will be on 53 EXP level; try to kill him as soon as you can manage. There are many enemies, and the strongest one focuses on concentrated attacks. Try to use the Kpin's skill to bring enemies to the area of his damage.
After you exit Iwon Rheg you will see a big boulder on the left.
Behind it, there are enemies. In order to defeat them, resort to mental damage and destroy their armors. Use the Crux spectres. The strongest enemy only deals close-range damage. If you can keep your distance, he should be harmless.
Defeat Mangar
After the cut-scene, quickly distance yourself from Mangar. Use the hiding skills of the rogue and make your first move. This is very important - you will gain advantage over the enemy.
Fighting the boss won't be easy. Mangar deals huge magic damage and has armor. Try to destroy the armor and then attack him with mental damage when he's not focused. Mangar summons specters, which can regenerate his spell points. Try to eliminate the specters first. Later on, when there's a lot of them, focus on Mangar. Use the armor of your allies - it can absorb lots of damage.
After the fight, talk to Mangar's ghost. Don't forget to loot the boss. You will find a key for the chest right next to you. There's some valuable loot in there.
Go back to Rabbi, to the Old Adventurers' Guild. Remember about the stones that allow you to teleport.
The conversation with Rabbi will end the quest.
