The section contains a walkthrough of the main quest Keeper of the old ways in The Bard's Tale IV: Barrows Deep. This mission also introduces a new type of puzzle. Our solution will help you solve it.

Find Fiona's House

Push the rocks in front of you. A chest and a shrine will be hidden there. Keep going forward.

You will encounter a few enemies, combat will take two waves. Watch out - their critical hits can easily kill your adept or rogue. When you look down, you will see numerous enemies, who are very difficult to defeat. Hide with the rogue's skills. Keep going forward. You will reach a village. In the middle, you'll find a well, there will be a pike pole. Enter it. There's going to be a chest there.

After reaching Fiona's house, you will face some enemies - adepts and fachan.

Kill the cultists

They may seem like hard enemies, but you surely will manage. Fachan is not very mobile in combat. Watch out, the cultists have the skill that lets them drain life.

Behind the house, you'll see a token. Turn it like this:

There's going to be a fairy behind you, stand in a way that lets you throw her into the token. The door will open. Enter it and you'll see three tokens. Set two of them the following way:

Kick the fairy towards the token. A portal will appear instead of the door. Talk to Fiona.

In order to prove to her that you're from the guild, play the "Wildland Whistle" to her. Fiona will be able to join your party as the fourth member. She's a bard. She'll teach you a new song - the "What The River Takes". She summons the souls of the dead. Once you use it, the mission will end.
