A character's Power level in Marvel's Avengers depends on the equipment they wear. For example, Ms. Marvel can equip bracelets, armbands, vests, and insignia, while Iron Man will find more futuristic items like repulsors, reactors, and heavy armor. You can't also forget the supporting items, Artifacts, that also raise your character's Power level.

Hero's Power - how is it counted?

A character's Power level in Marvel's Avengers is the average numerical value of all the currently equipped items. By equipping individual items with a higher Power factor, you increase the overall Power level of your hero.

It is very important to try to have an item with the highest Power level in every possible slot in order to gradually increase the overall Power level of the character. For example, if most of your hero's equipment has 24 Power points and you equip one that is much better, say 31 points, you will see your Power level increase by 1.1 points.
