On this page of our guide, you will find a walkthrough for the fourth stage of the game. You'll find out what you can find in the house and what needs to be done there.
Due to the game's genre, the walkthrough contains spoilers that reveal certain plot elements. If you continue reading the guide you agree to learn about some of the content, such as new locations or some characters.
Your task is to look around. Everything you pick up will bring a few memories that will remind you of a situation that happened in childhood.
More important memories include a letter found in the living room. The children wrote it to their mother, fearing her reaction to the broken vase.
Another important thing are photos. They hang in the living room. When you point the out, your sister will approach you. After a few memories, she finds them hard to watch. The twins do not understand what happened on that tragic night and why their lives suddenly changed so much.
The house is full of memories releated to Tyler's relationship with his mother. By the fireplace, you can evoke a memory related to hockey team. Little Tyler was eager to join the team, but this was one of many reasons leading to arguments between him and his mother.
After climbing the stairs, you can explore the small hallway and the children's room. Let's start with the book on the chair. You notice it, and your sister will remind you of one of your favorite books.
You can find a lot of interesting things in the room. Let's start with a photo taped to the closet. It will trigger a series of memories about friends and holidays.
On the right wall of the room you will find posters and a hockey team scarf. Tyler reminds his sister that he wanted to join the team, but their mother considered it too aggressive a sport for girls.
You'll find a box on your desk, with one of the most important secrets hidden inside it. Book of Goblins is a book that features many stories written by children. It will help you solve some of the puzzles appearing in the game.
Tyler points out that the box once contained his diary. He knows his mom took it from him. It contained lot of information about his sexuality.
You can also watch books and games before you leave the room. In this way, the siblings will remember their favorite entertainment from that time.
When you leave the room, you can bring up another memory. Alyson becomes very interested in their shared stories, taking place in a small makeshift tent.
There are two ways to get to your mother's room:
- Solve the puzzle;
- Breach the door.
Your sister would be happy if you could solve the puzzle together. It will affect your relations.
If you want to solve the puzzle you have to place the three pieces correctly. Their arrangement can be found in the Book of Goblins, in the story titled The Princess's Party.
The correct arrangement of the elements is:
Remember to turn the handle when you arrange the pieces correctly. This way you'll be able to enter the room.
As soon as you get inside, you can focus on a memory. The siblings remember a conversation their mother had with Tessa, her best friend.
On the right side of the bed, you will find a figurine. Pick it up for your collection.
Before picking up Tyler's diary, you can look around the room. You'll notice a painting and a machine. The children will immediately remember their mother's creative skills.
You'll find a photo of your mother with her best friend on the desk. This will make the siblings think that Tessa might know the answers to their questions.
In the desk drawer you'll find the thing you came here for - Tyler's diary.
This will block any interactions in the room.
When Tyler looks at his diary, Alyson finds two books that change their view of her mother. Because of them, the twins will want to get to the bottom of the story.
After a moment, you be taken to Tyler's memories, as he remembers the tragic night that changed their lives.
Plans for the future
After going to the terrace, the siblings begin to reflect on what they have learned. One of the plans will be to go to Tessa's house to learn about their mother. In this case, you have two answers:
- Maybe Tessa has answers;
- Must be nice to forget.
Whichever you choose, you'll go to Tessa's in the future.
The continuing conversation refers to more general plans and ideas:
- Why rush the house sale?
- Is something wrong?
- We have a plan?
After the conversation, you and your sister will take a look around the neighborhood. This will help you remember even more of the events of your childhood.
When you walk into the house, you'll meet Sam. He'll be pointing a gun at you. Alyson runs into the room and saves you from this old friend.
The conversation quickly turns to selling the house. You have two dialog options:
- No one asked you;
- A few bad memories, too.
Whichever choice you make, Tyler will remember the unhappy night and his mother pointing a gun at him. Eventually, Sam gives up the keys to the mother's apartment either way, and the siblings make the journey to the store.
