Key information about codes

The codes in the game are three-digit combinations and you can enter them using keyboards - System Shock Remake: Code list - Secrets and Collectibles - System Shock Remake Guide

The codes in the game are three-digit combinations and you can enter them using keyboards. All found keyboards are marked with an icon on the map. Return to them after finding a combination.

Most codes are random, that is, you must personally go to the place of obtaining the code and read it. You can then enter the finished combination. This restriction does not apply to several important codes, e.g. 451 which is the first combination.

You can find the codes, e.g. in audio and text logs or as text on screens or walls. In some cases, you will only receive part of the combination - you will have to guess the rest.

In some cases, the keyboard may not initially accept the code even if it's correct. The main reasons are the need to lower the Level Security indicator on a given deck or to advance sufficiently in the game (e.g. complete some quest objectives).
