Speak with Bryn in the encampment. You will be told, that she needs help with recovering her magical stone. In order to do that, you must first go to the Market District and speak with the merchant named Polek, standing near the entrance to the blacksmith. Ask him about the whereabouts of the said stone. During the conversation you will learn, that the stone might be hidden in a warehouse, in Luskan. To get there, head outside the city via the nearest exit and set your destination to the Luskan Warehouse. After arriving, speak with Pettlin. She will tell you, that you need to pay 400 gold in order to get inside the warehouse. Make the payment and start searching through the building. Inside you will find various interesting items, as well as a lot of gold. Additionally, there are chests located in the central section of the warehouse which can be looted. If your wisdom (WIS) stat is high enough, you will be able to extract quite a sum of gold from them.
After thoroughly searching through the building, you will learn that the stone you are looking for is not here. Head towards the exit, where a group of bandits will be waiting for you. Eliminate them and approach Pettlin (the guard that took gold for the passage from you) and demand the gold back. This way not only you will acquire a lot of interesting items and a nice sum of gold from the warehouse, you will be given all the gold that you paid for entering the building back.
Another step on your task to recover the stone will be the secret mercenary camp. Go to the Luskan's slums and search the residence near Miranda's shop. After using the Search ability a hidden trapdoor will appear, leading you to the said hideout. Go through the subsequent rooms and corridors, until you reach Keyros, the leader of the mercenaries. After eliminating him, search his body for a delivery note, which will tell you where the stone is hidden.
Go to the Market District and enter the apartment in the south-eastern section. There you will stumble upon an unconscious Thesian. After trying to talk with him, search the apartment. There's a secret casket, hidden under the bed - inside there's a magical amulet. After picking up the said piece of jewelry, a demon called Madelith will appear. After a short conversation you will have to fight Thesian and Madelith. Focus your attacks on Thesian, while casting crowd control spells on him. This way he won't be able to attack your party even once. After the encounter you will have to fight the resurrected Thesian and the demon. This time try to knock Thesian out and focus your attacks on the demon. When you deplete the health bar of the demon, the encounter will end and you will receive Bryn's stone.
Reward: 3000 experience points.
