Editing a location

After generating a location you have created, you will be able to edit its specific elements in real time. On the left side you will find a window in which there are interior decorations, enemy list, traps etc. As mentioned in the introduction chapter, you can also modify the lightning and atmosphere of the place. Objects are added with the drag and drop method. Each object you choose can be freely turned and placed. The only restriction is the lack of the possibility to place elite enemies in the first room of the dungeon. The objects are divided into following categories:

  • Animals - In this tab you will find animals such as horses, pigs or chickens.
  • Barriers - In this tab you will find obstacles that can be placed on the way of adventurers. By using them you can, for example, create a labyrinth.
  • Blood - Here you will find various blood stains which can be placed on the ground. You can use it to create, for example, a river of blood flowing during demonic rituals.
  • Cave - In this tab you will find cave elements. For example, you will find here stalactites, mushrooms or glowing rocks which will add some atmosphere to the location.
  • Seating - Here you will find interior decorations on which one can sit.
  • City - Elements of a larger city, such as lamps, tents or wells. The tab has only a cosmetic function.
  • Containers - Decoration elements in which adventurers might find interesting items or gold.
  • Death - In this tab you will find torture machines, altars etc.
  • Decorations - In this tab you will find interior decorations, such as carpets, statues etc.
  • Forest - In this tab you will find forest decorations, such as campfires, boughs etc.
  • Furniture - In this tab you will find interior decorations such as various furniture.
  • Lightning - In this tab you will find various sources of light. They will allow you to create a unique atmosphere of the location.
  • Lost mines - In this tab you will find mine equipment.
  • Divine - This tab focuses on gods and here you will find their statues.
  • Shop - Shop elements, such as shelves and booths.
  • Tables - Decoration elements. Here you will also find alchemy tables.
  • Treasure - In this tab you will find treasures. You will find here chests, containers etc.

All objects can be secured with a trap. Placing a trap in a treasure chest is a great example. When placing traps you can modify difficulty of its disarming or noticing. Treasures can be also locked and you can set the difficulty of opening them.

Another thing that you will notice in the locations is dungeon master's totems. They have a form of glowing balls which you could select at the start of the module creation. Totems are located in each room and they allow you to manipulate the enemies that are inside. After opening the change window you will have an opportunity to change the difficulty level and type of a group of enemies.
