In this chapter, you will learn how to use the Technology menu. Furthermore, you will find out about research points.
1. Research queue
Here, you can see all the queued research, including the cost (research points) and progress.
2. Outsourcing
For a nominal fee, additional scientific research can be outsourced to laboratories on Earth.
3. Technology branch
On the left, you can see technology categories. There are 6 of them: Biotech, Engineering, Robotics, Physics, Social, and Breakthrough.
4. Technologies
Technologies are placed inside hexagons. Hexagons with question marks represent undiscovered technologies, grey hexagons represent discovered technologies, and colorful ones mark technologies that you can research. Draw your attention to the fact that some of them have additional numbers next to them - this represents the order of research.
5. Statistics
Here, you can find information on the source of your research points. Points granted by your sponsor are your base points. It's possible to generate additional research points by building specific science facilities and getting genius colonists. Some technologies increase the level of gathered research points.
