Stray does not have exorbitant hardware requirements, but it is still worth checking them before playing. Our guide compiles the minimum and recommended hardware requirements of the game.

Stray should run even on a PC that is several years old since the game doesn't have high requirements. Our guide has a list of the minimum and recommended system requirements.

Stray: Minimum PC system requirements

  1. Operating system: Windows 10/11 64-bits
  2. Processor: Intel Core i5-2550K 3.4 GHz/AMD FX-8350 4.0 GHz
  3. RAM: 8 GB
  4. Graphics card: 2 GB GeForce GTX 650 Ti/Radeon R7 360
  5. Disk space: around 10 GB

Stray: Recommended PC system requirements

  1. Operating system: Windows 10/11 64-bits
  2. Processor: Intel Core i5-8400 2.8 GHz/AMD Ryzen 5 2600 3.4 GHz
  3. RAM: 8 GB
  4. Graphics card: GeForce GTX 780 3 GB /Radeon R9 290X 4 GB
  5. Disk space: around 10 GB

Stray on PS5 - performance and settings

The PlayStation 5 version of Stray does not have an option to select a graphics mode (e - Stray: PC system requirements - Appendix - Stray Guide, Walkthrough

The PlayStation 5 version of Stray does not have an option to select a graphics mode (e.g. quality, performance). Fortunately, this doesn't pose a problem, because the animation is always displayed at a constant 60 frames per second and we didn't notice any drops in animation. Saving the game might cause slight stuttering.

The Graphics tab in the game settings only has 2 options:

  1. Gamma - We advise against changing it, because the default setting is correct and you can also use a flashlight in the game.
  2. Motion Blur - Turned on by default and set to maximum strength. We recommend turning off motion blur, as this can reduce possible discomfort when frequently rotating the camera.
