Last update: 10 October 2022

This page of the guide to Steelrising presents a walkthrough of the quest Monsieur Necker's two treasures. If you free the man from the Treasurer of Les Invalides Titan, he will have a request for you when he returns to the Cordeliers Convent.

After completing the main task To Les Invalides, head to the headquarters of the king's enemies in Luxembourg. There you will talk to Jacques Necker. The man will give you the Monsieur Necker's two treasures quest. He will ask you to get into the king's safe and find out what happened to his wife.

The armoire de fer and bonds

Necker will direct you to Mirabeau. Fortunately, you don't have to look for him. The man is in the Cordeliers Convent. Talk to him.

The diplomat will send you to 2 more people - Bailly and Lavoisier - both of whom can be found in the Cordeliers Convent (provided, of course, that you let them out of their coffins beforehand). Talk to them.

Unfortunately, the scientists can't help you. In addition, Mirabeau has disappeared. You need to go to the Louvre - the path to that location is described in the Troubled Waters task.

However, if you already have the Alchemist's Ram power, you can significantly shorten the journey - Steelrising: Monsieur Neckers two treasures - walkthrough - Side missions - Steelrising Guide, Walkthrough

However, if you already have the Alchemist's Ram power, you can significantly shorten the journey. When you reach the Tuileries location, follow the path as described in the quest mentioned earlier. However, after passing the first Vestal and 2 tunnels, stop. You will recognize the place by the fact that it is guarded by 3 Light Jaguars (you can read about them on a separate page - Felines). Defeat them and destroy the wall marked in the above screenshot.

This will lead you straight to the Tuileries Palace - Steelrising: Monsieur Neckers two treasures - walkthrough - Side missions - Steelrising Guide, Walkthrough

This will lead you straight to the Tuileries Palace. The area in front of the building is patrolled by a Butcher (you can learn more about this opponent here: Cooks). At the end of the square is the entrance to the buildings, guarded by 2 Light jaguars and a Master-at-Arms(we described this enemy in the Guards section of the guide). Enter the palace.

You will reach a hall, and on the left is the passage to the corridor. Follow it. Then climb the stairs on the right.

When you reach the upper floor, enter the room (the next stairs lead nowhere) - Steelrising: Monsieur Neckers two treasures - walkthrough - Side missions - Steelrising Guide, Walkthrough

Walk through the large hall - Steelrising: Monsieur Neckers two treasures - walkthrough - Side missions - Steelrising Guide, Walkthrough

Walk through the large hall. In the next corridor, turn right. There is a Prototype (you can find information about these opponents here: Prototypes). Pull yourself up to a higher floor using a hole in the ceiling. Go through the open door and out onto the balcony on the right. There you will find a Falcon (enemies of this type are described on the Hunters page) and a Courier (these enemies are presented in the Arachnids section). Unlock the door at the end of the terrace and go through it.

Note the chest located on the left side of the room - Steelrising: Monsieur Neckers two treasures - walkthrough - Side missions - Steelrising Guide, Walkthrough

Note the chest located on the left side of the room. Inside it, you will find a Carriage Token. It will allow you to travel to the Horseless Carriage immediately (remember that each token can be used only once).

Go through the passage on the right side of the room - Steelrising: Monsieur Neckers two treasures - walkthrough - Side missions - Steelrising Guide, Walkthrough

Go through the passage on the right side of the room. You will see a ransacked safe. The light in front of it is one of the clues in the side quest called In Memory of the Dauphin. You also need it for Mirabeau so he can return once again to the Cordeliers Convent. To collect securities you must enter the "vault" and search the chest. Now return to the rebel base. You can teleport there by using a carriage token.

If you want to return to your mode of transportation on foot, it is worth unlocking the door located in the room with the safe - Steelrising: Monsieur Neckers two treasures - walkthrough - Side missions - Steelrising Guide, Walkthrough

If you want to return to your mode of transportation on foot, it is worth unlocking the door located in the room with the safe.

After opening the door, you will find a Trumpeter (more about this enemy type on the Musicians page). In the next chamber, you will encounter a Hoplite (we provide information on this Automat in the Guards section) and a Prototype. Go through the halls and down the stairs to the very bottom. On the first floor, a Bassoonist and 2 Watchmakers await you (you can read about them on, respectively: Musicians and Arachnids pages).

After defeating the opponents, continue straight until you reach the hall with stairs - Steelrising: Monsieur Neckers two treasures - walkthrough - Side missions - Steelrising Guide, Walkthrough

After defeating the opponents, continue straight until you reach the hall with stairs. You can go right and left from here. It is worth using both corridors - at their ends, you will find doors that serve as shortcuts.

When you return to the Cordeliers Convent, you must decide to whom to give the vouchers - La Fayette (he will hire an army) or Robespierre (he plans to feed the populace).

Suzanne Necker

You have to search the Eglise Sainte-Marie. The route to this place is described in the walkthrough for To Les Invalides quest. Of course, depending on the passages you unlocked along the way by completing the aforementioned task, the path may be a little shorter for you this time.

You need to get to the main entrance to the church - Steelrising: Monsieur Neckers two treasures - walkthrough - Side missions - Steelrising Guide, Walkthrough

You need to get to the main entrance to the church. You will find a body there. Upon examining it, you will find that the fugitives have hidden in the catacombs.

If you have already unlocked the gate located just around the corner when passing the church, the one connecting the church to the square with the fountain, you can now go through it - Steelrising: Monsieur Neckers two treasures - walkthrough - Side missions - Steelrising Guide, Walkthrough

If you have already unlocked the gate located just around the corner when passing the church, the one connecting the church to the square with the fountain, you can now go through it.

Otherwise, you will have to go around. Go down the stairs opposite the church's Vestal (interact with it to be reborn by it if you die) and head down the street to the left. It is patrolled by the Statuary Ram (you can learn more about this opponent on the Rams page).

You must now go to the catacombs - Steelrising: Monsieur Neckers two treasures - walkthrough - Side missions - Steelrising Guide, Walkthrough

You must now go to the catacombs. The entrance to them is guarded by a Frost Acolyte (you can learn about this opponent in the Acolytes section). After dealing with him, interact with the body located near the gate to the undergrounds. You will find a key to open the passage.

You now have to go through the catacombs. Follow the path. In the second chamber, you will encounter 2 Heavy Prototypes. From there, turn left (the passage on the right ends with a dead end).

The next room is guarded by a Courier and a Frost Acolyte. Keep going down the corridor. There is a destructible wall in one of the rooms, but it is a dead end and will not lead you to your destination.

Keep going. Behind the chamber with the destructible wall is a room with a Flame Acolyte(you can learn more about him on the page - Acolytes) and Arachnids (Watchmaker and Courier). Cross the hall and keep walking.

You will reach the end of the tunnel - Steelrising: Monsieur Neckers two treasures - walkthrough - Side missions - Steelrising Guide, Walkthrough

You will reach the end of the tunnel. There is a hole at the top - you can climb there using the Bishop's Hook. You will reach the garden in front of the residence.

There is a letter at the door that you should read - Steelrising: Monsieur Neckers two treasures - walkthrough - Side missions - Steelrising Guide, Walkthrough

There is a letter at the door that you should read. This will update the task. In front of the gate (blue light) there is a carriage token. It will allow you to teleport to the Horseless Carriage (it is a consumable, however). Of course, you can also reach your means of transportation on foot by unlocking the gate. Be careful, however, as there are 2 Trumpeters right behind it who will attack you.

If you tell Necker about your discovery, he will go to his wife and leave the Cordeliers Convent. He will do so even if you have not recovered the securities. However, this does not mean that that part of the task will fail. You will still be able to find and give them to someone.
