When fighting many dangerous opponents, you can rely on only 2 things - skills and equipment. Here we focus on the latter. On this page of the Steelrising guide, you will learn how to upgrade your equipment.

Store

When interacting with Vestals or the Horseless Carriage, you can browse the store - Steelrising: Equipment - upgrading and management - Basics - Steelrising Guide, Walkthrough

When interacting with Vestals or the Horseless Carriage, you can browse the store. The currency used there is called Anima essence.

Here you can buy clothes, weapons and the necessary resources for upgrading weapons, modules and keys for them, as well as useful items (healing and resistance potions or various grenades).

If you have a bunch of unnecessary items in your inventory, you can sell them to the store.

Weapons

You will acquire weapons in two ways - find them or buy them. You can have 2 weapons equipped simultaneously. Ideally, they should have different functions - for example, for close and ranged combat. You will manage your weapons in the Inventory menu.

You can upgrade your weapons to a maximum of level 5 - Steelrising: Equipment - upgrading and management - Basics - Steelrising Guide, Walkthrough

You can upgrade your weapons to a maximum of level 5. You will do this at any Vestal or in the Horseless Carriage using the Upgrades menu. However, it costs Anima essence and materials. You can buy or find resources. Of course, with each level the upgrade will be more expensive.

Armour

Taking care of the character's armor is also an important aspect of character development - Steelrising: Equipment - upgrading and management - Basics - Steelrising Guide, Walkthrough

Taking care of the character's armor is also an important aspect of character development. You can find clothes in chests or buy them in the Boutique. However, the majority of the best outfits can be acquired by exploring the world. Of course, the higher the armor stats, the better. You will manage your armor in the Inventory menu.

Modules

Modules are special implants - Steelrising: Equipment - upgrading and management - Basics - Steelrising Guide, Walkthrough

Modules are special implants. Thanks to them, the heroine grows stronger (in different ways). You can find or buy them. They have their own levels. Of course, the higher, the better perks you will get.

However, in order to install high-level modules you must also have a slot developed for them. You can do that with the keys you either found or bought. Each level will cost more keys.

Journal and map

In the Inventory menu you can also find your journal and map. The map is not extremely important for Steelrising, as it only shows the general symbols of the locations - it does not show their detailed layouts. Hence, it is only useful for traveling and setting destinations between districts.

The journal, on the other hand, is worth checking out regularly, as you will find information about the enemies, locations and characters you encounter.

Burette

Burettes are very useful items, as they instantly renew quite a bit of life - Steelrising: Equipment - upgrading and management - Basics - Steelrising Guide, Walkthrough

Burettes are very useful items, as they instantly renew quite a bit of life. They can't be found, but their number is restored every time you visit a Vestal.

This "elixir" can be improved with special items. You can increase their healing properties and the number you can carry (maximum 5). Unfortunately, the items needed for the upgrade are very rare.

Quick Access Belt

Another thing you may come across in the Inventory menu is the all-important Quick Access Belt - Steelrising: Equipment - upgrading and management - Basics - Steelrising Guide, Walkthrough

Another thing you may come across in the Inventory menu is the all-important Quick Access Belt. Items assigned to it can be easily used during combat. By default, it's a good idea to have healing potions and some grenades there. However, its composition will change depending on the opponents you face.
