You can enter here right at the beginning of the mission. Build a Hatchery in place of the main enemy structure. You can still use the Creep to build the remaining building. Enemy attacks will be coming from East and West, so make sure you fortify those spots eventually.
The enemy base to the West should be taken out quickly. This will clear your western flank and enable you to claim large amounts of resources. You can use a typical land assault for this one, as enemy defenses are basic.
This is where you'll encounter your first Ultralisk. It's a powerful land unit that uses melee attack to massacre other land units. You can take it out using Mutalisks or the Spawn Broodlings skill of your Zerg Queen (talk about anticlimax...).
This base is guarded by numerous AA turrets and Hydralisks. Just unleash a horde of Zerglings on them, and have your own Hydralisks and flying units mop up the rest.
Gather a squad of Mutalisks and Guardians on the left edge of the map and slowly proceed towards the corner.
Reveal the map just enough to lock onto the first enemy AA turrets. Take them out with Guardians, and have the Mutalisks deal with any serious threats.
Keeping to the upper edge of the map, have your flying units attack the main enemy structure to prevent him from training any more units. Use your bombers to do this. If you attack from the mineral field, you'll be able not only to destroy enemy workers, but also gain a better defensive position. Have the Mutalisks play the role of escorts. Keep them close to the guardians and don't let them fly inside the base.
The last enemy base can only be reached by air. Fill in any gaps your fighter and bomber squadrons may have acquired to wipe out this last point of enemy resistance. The enemy has several AA turrets and Hatcheries. If you've destroyed other production structures, the enemy may train their units, including Hydralisks, here, which will make your job much more difficult. Once you've cleared this location, destroy the rest of the buildings in Base #3 and run a sweep search across the entire map for enemy stragglers.

Last update: 22 August 2017

Small Zerg Base You can enter here right at the beginning of the mission. Build a Hatchery in place of the main enemy structure. You can still use the Creep to build the remaining building. Enemy attacks will be coming from East and West, so make sure you fortify those spots eventually.

Zerg Base #1 The enemy base to the West should be taken out quickly. This will clear your western flank and enable you to claim large amounts of resources. You can use a typical land assault for this one, as enemy defenses are basic.

Ultralisk This is where you'll encounter your first Ultralisk. It's a powerful land unit that uses melee attack to massacre other land units. You can take it out using Mutalisks or the Spawn Broodlings skill of your Zerg Queen (talk about anticlimax...).

Zerg Base #2 This base is guarded by numerous AA turrets and Hydralisks. Just unleash a horde of Zerglings on them, and have your own Hydralisks and flying units mop up the rest.

Air force assembly point Gather a squad of Mutalisks and Guardians on the left edge of the map and slowly proceed towards the corner.

Outer defense line Reveal the map just enough to lock onto the first enemy AA turrets. Take them out with Guardians, and have the Mutalisks deal with any serious threats.

Zerg Base #3 Keeping to the upper edge of the map, have your flying units attack the main enemy structure to prevent him from training any more units. Use your bombers to do this. If you attack from the mineral field, you'll be able not only to destroy enemy workers, but also gain a better defensive position. Have the Mutalisks play the role of escorts. Keep them close to the guardians and don't let them fly inside the base.

Zerg Base #4 The last enemy base can only be reached by air.

Mission objectives:

  1. Eradicate every last remnant of Garm Brood.

While Kerrigan dueled Tassadar in the previous mission, the protoss attacked Zasz and killed her. Using their new power, they deprived the Overmind from the possibility of resurrecting her. Without Zasz, her swarm has gone crazy and nobody controls it. They pose a threat to the rest of the zerg so you have to eliminate them.

There is a long mission ahead of you in which you have to fight other zerg. There are several enemy bases on the map, the strongest one being the complex in the north. It is a vast base divided into two parts, with the inaccessible part located on a hill. On your way, you'll see four Garm Swarm facilities. This time around, you start out without a base but with a small unit. Move slightly to the north and destroy the first hostile minibase (1). Build your own on its remains. You can place buildings even though the Creep doesn't come from your structures. Focus on expanding the base and extracting minerals. In this mission, you receive a new unit, Defiler. It is another "wizard", similarly to Queen. Dark Swarm is a defensive ability that summons a small swarm. For a short time, units in its area are nearly immune to enemy fire. Plague can very quickly drain an enemy of most of their hit points (a maximum of 300) but can never kill one. It is useful against enemy unit groups and defensive buildings.

Two teams of Zerglings can easily decimate the western enemy base. Watch out for the hostile flyers and destroy the Turrets first. - Mission 7 - The Culling | Zerg | Campaign Walkthrough - Zerg - StarCraft: Remastered Game Guide

The zerg will be attacking you regularly, usually with Zerglings and Hydralisks and from the right side. Build a Sunken Colony there and keep a part of your land forces around. Mutalisks and sometimes other land units will be attacking from the other side. When you've gathered a large amount of resources, build a small army consisting of at least two Zergling teams and assault the nearest base on the left (2). The enemy has only two antiaircraft Turrets so it's worth it to attack with air force. Build another extraction facility here. You can send a full team of Mutalisks to destroy the next facility to the north from this location, right at the left edge of the map. There, you will find another gas deposit.

Queen (the Spawn Broodlings ability) or a group of Zerglings can deal with the most powerful zerg unit, which is an Ultralisk. - Mission 7 - The Culling | Zerg | Campaign Walkthrough - Zerg - StarCraft: Remastered Game Guide
Queen (the Spawn Broodlings ability) or a group of Zerglings can deal with the most powerful zerg unit, which is an Ultralisk.

Before you start clearing out the right side, reinforce your land forces with extra Zergling teams. The enemy has a lot of Hydralisks and Spore Colonies. On your way, you'll encounter an Ultralisk, the most powerful zerg unit (3). It has numerous hit points and deals great melee damage on a small area. It's easy to eliminate it with aircraft or a Queen by using the Spawn Broodlings ability on it. Send a large group of Zerglings into the enemy base and then bring the air force to finish it off (4).

A large group of your air force should easily annihilate both bases in the north. Start from the Turrets and antiaircraft units, then focus on the Hatchery. - Mission 7 - The Culling | Zerg | Campaign Walkthrough - Zerg - StarCraft: Remastered Game Guide
A large group of your air force should easily annihilate both bases in the north. Start from the Turrets and antiaircraft units, then focus on the Hatchery.

Create another group of Mutalisks and upgrade them into Guardians before you attack the last line of enemy defense. Destroying the enemy Hatchery/Lair/Hive will be the most effective course of action. Gather your air force at the left edge of the map, near the destroyed facility with a gas deposit (5). Let the infantry wait until the air force has completed its task. Destroy the two nearby Sunken Colonies. Now, collect Mutalisks and Guardians and then move them to the top left corner of the map. There, you will find a Turret and Hydralisks (6). Stick to the upper edge and destroy the next Turret inside the base. Order Guardians to attack the Hive, and have Mutalisks hold the perimeter (7). Now, bring the remainder of your army and destroy the base. The second base is located on the inaccessible hill (8). Slowly approach it with bombers and start to attack the Turrets. Your main target is the Hatchery. Having eliminated this base, all you have to do is to kill the remainder of the hostile zerg and their structures. Scatter your scouts all over the map because the enemy often builds bases on the ruins of the destroyed ones.
