A very hard mission unless you play it in proper way. This time you will control zerg. Protoss can be found on the east [1] and terran on north [2]. Next to your positions you will find place for two bases [3][4] and it would be a good idea to use them as fast as possible. In addition to that, there are seven places [5-11] on the map in which Amon will create his army. These constructions are resistant and cannot be fully destroyed. They will regenerate after few minutes and will resume creating enemy units.

Raynor's base after Amon's attack. In the place of the gap there were previously Command Center, mineral depots and refineries.

Notice the green fields on the mission map. These places will be destroyed by Amon as the mission progress. All units and buildings that can be found there will be automatically destroyed, the resources irreversibly lost and a gap will appear instead of the ground. Nine of these places contains resource fields in all three starting locations, the rest are scattered across the map. What does it mean? Despite appearances, not much. Most of all, base territories will be attacked by Amon very rarely. It means that you must mine all resources from the main base before the fifteenth minute, build smaller ones in points [3] and [4] and when you will receive information about incoming attack, you must retreat all your workers and overlords outside the endangered territory. You will probably complete the mission before the second attack will occur. You might have a trouble due to the fact that you will lose the first lair due to the attack. This might block you access to some units and buildings. However, there is a simple solution to that - don't spend the resources on upgrading the first lair, build another hatchery in the starting base or in one of the smaller ones and upgrade only them.

How to easily complete this mission - Mission 3 - Amons Fall - Epilogue - Into the Void - StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void - Game Guide and Walkthrough

How to easily complete this mission? Most of all, you must destroy the void chasms. These buildings will regenerate themselves, but there are only few of them on the map and after destroying they will not create new units. The lack of void chasms means the lack of attacks on yours and your allies' bases, which will allow you to save some resources otherwise used on defense. Void chasms can create large amounts of various units, so the faster you get rid of them, the better for you.

Secondly, you must remember about using Kerrigan. She has a set of useful abilities, including healing of nearby units and an attack that works on whole map. Additionally, she has large number of hit points, so she will prove to be very useful when fighting enemy turrets. Whenever you will go to battle, take Kerrigan with you and let her attack enemies and heal your units. Thanks to this one ability you can win most battles.

Thirdly, you must destroy enemy turrets. They will appear on the map just after you will start attacking the void chasms or void crystals. Some of them attack only one target, other has area of attack, but all of them have large firepower and resistance. You must attack them with your whole army, healing your forces as frequently as it is possible. During the battle, order your whole army to attack the turret, switch to Kerrigan with the TAB key and use the C shortcut whenever the ability is ready to be used. Thanks to that, you will save most of your units from death.

Fourthly, you must keep creating and upgrading your army. Gather all hatcheries and their upgraded versions under one key and regularly transform all larvae into units. Collect as many resources as you're able to and spend them on weapon and armor upgrades. The enemy is very strong in this mission, so you must quickly reduce the distance in power between you and him.

Fifthly, you must produce the mutalisks. The mission can be completed in few ways, but the mutalisks are the most optimal unit. They fly, so they can quickly reach any location you need them to while avoiding the gaps created by Amon. Their speed allows them to quickly escape if they have some trouble. Thanks to their attacks hurting few enemies at once they can quickly destroy enemy armies, and if there are more of them they should easily get rid of void chasms and turrets. Additionally, thanks to the fact that they are flying, they can attack the void crystals more frequently. Zerg have many useful units, but in this mission it is best to focus on mutalisks. Preferably with the weapon and armor upgraded to maximum.

How to complete the main objective, destruction of the void crystals - Mission 3 - Amons Fall - Epilogue - Into the Void - StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void - Game Guide and Walkthrough

How to complete the main objective, destruction of the void crystals? First wait until you receive information about the void crystal vulnerable to attacks. Gather your mutalisks and Kerrigan and go in that direction. If you will find active void chasms on your way, destroy them. If you will find turrets - bypass them, you will take care of them later. Get near the void crystal and start attacking the building. When the turrets will appear nearby, leave the crystal and focus on the new objects. Let all your units attack single turret while Kerrigan will heal them regularly. Once all the turrets are down, get back to destroying the crystal. If you can, attack the same crystal as your allies. Destroy all turrets on your way back to the base, so that they won't interrupt you later. During the same time, train new mutalisks in the base and upgrade them. Remember also about Amon's attack from the fifteenth minute.

This time you will not have to send backup to your allies. Their bases are large and well fortified and unit production is high. The allies will not be able to destroy the crystals on their own, but they will regularly send groups of units in their direction. It is wise to use their help. The game will inform you about which void crystal is vulnerable to attacks and when the allies will go to destroy it you will learn the route through which the crystal will be moving. You will be also informed about which void chasms are active. All you need to do is observe the minimap.

There are only three differences between the beginning and the later part of the mission. First, Amon will summon more of varied turrets. Second, more void chasms will appear, and the active ones will create more units. Third, more territories will be destroyed by Amon. During the whole time you must only create and upgrade mutalisks, destroy the void chasms and turrets and finally attack the void crystals with Kerrigan's help. Thanks to this tactic you can complete the mission in less than 20 minutes.
