You start with a weakly developed base - Mission 8 - Brothers in Arms - Campaign - Legacy of the Void - StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void - Game Guide and Walkthrough

You start with a weakly developed base. Luckily, your allies [1][2] are strong enough to easily repel attacks of enemy terran. Raynor will call to you as first and you will learn Valerian's position after the first minute of the game. Despite what Valerian will say, for now he will not need your help. Train few zealots and send all your army towards the first research facility [B1]. Get rid of all enemies that are attacking it. Get back here whenever your infantry will need healing.

Keystone will be activated for the first time when the mission counter shows 3:30. At that point all terrans on the map, including enemy ones, will become inactive. You will also receive information from which side hybrids are coming. Based on that you can determine which allied base will be attacked as the hybrids are always attacking in straight line.

Despite what your advisors will tell you, you dont need to choose between attacking the enemy and protecting the allies - Mission 8 - Brothers in Arms - Campaign - Legacy of the Void - StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Despite what your advisors will tell you, you don't need to choose between attacking the enemy and protecting the allies. Simply gather your army and go against hybrids instead of standing in one place. Destroy all units and buildings of the enemy on your way. When the hybrid will get close to your units, ignore the terran and throw everything you got on them. Go back to the work of destruction once the hybrid is dead. Be prepared that the terrans will wake up after a moment. In that case, retreat and let the allies continue their battle.

The only attacks on your base will come through the central road, right from the [B1] facility. The target of the attack will be either the main base or the second one which you can build in [P]. Terran attacks will occur only between the activations of the keystone, so it is a good idea to collect whole army in [B1] point, wait for the activation of the keystone, attack, destroy whatever you can and then return to the research station. As the frontline moves, terran attacks will become smaller, so later in the mission you will not have to worry about defense.

Every time you clean the enemy outposts ([3-6], your allies will start building their defense positions there - Mission 8 - Brothers in Arms - Campaign - Legacy of the Void - StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Every time you clean the enemy outposts ([3-6], your allies will start building their defense positions there. Their defenses will consist of bunkers and siege tanks. Allies' positions will be guarded enough for you not to worry about helping them during terran attacks, at least since all their fortifications are completed. But you must take them in consideration when the keystone is active, as the hybrids that are attacking you can destroy the outposts on their way to the bases of your allies [1][2]. In addition to that, it is worth using all allied outposts as a place to create new units. Build a pylon nearby and gather all units directly to the battlefield instead of forcing them to a long march from the main base.

The moment when you take over and secure the positions [3][5] is always a great occasion to save the researchers from [B2] and [B3]. The allies will be so close that in case of trouble you can quickly retreat to them. Don't forget about gathering the resource containers scattered across the map while exploring. Taking over [4][6] positions will be slightly harder, but easy enough for your allies to do it on their own.

The main enemy base has two entrances [7][8] which will be attacked separately by your allies - Mission 8 - Brothers in Arms - Campaign - Legacy of the Void - StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void - Game Guide and Walkthrough

The main enemy base has two entrances [7][8] which will be attacked separately by your allies. You can strike at them on your own, sparing your allies the effort, but you can also wait for Raynor and Valerian to start destroying them. It will take a bit more time, mostly due to the hybrids that can be found there. It is more practical to attack one of the entrances when the keystone is active, destroy whatever you can, move to the second one, repeat the destruction, then retreat and let the terrans finish the job. Thanks to that, during the attack on the keystone [9] you will be able to count on terran reinforcements. It is important, since the artifact is protected by hybrids - every aid will be helpful in the battle.

If you don't feel like waiting so long and destroying all enemy buildings, you can wait until the keystone activates, attack one of the base entrances and then immediately move at the artifact. The mission ends automatically when you destroy the building that is holding it, so you don't have to kill all hybrids protecting it.

During this mission you have access to immortal units, it is wise to use them as protection for stalkers. Your army should consist of large number of zealots which will focus the attacks of hybrids and dark templars who will be tasked with dealing high damage to hybrids. You will need stalkers for destroying single enemy flying units which you will face from time to time. On the normal difficulty level you can complete the game having one base. On higher difficulties building another one is a necessity.
