Weapons are useful for fighting monsters, armor protects you and tools allow you to manipulate the surrounding world. Each type of tools performs a certain function and it is required to make progress in the game world.
Just like weapons and armors, also tools have their levels. The level determined is by the type of metal that has been used to craft the tool. The higher the level, the higher the effectiveness of the tool.
Many activities in the game world require appropriate tools. If you want to cultivate soil, you need the Stone Hoe, to chop trees, you need a Stone Axe, to paint the walls of your house, you need the Paint Tool. Some of the tools can perform multiple actions, like e.g. the Stone Pickaxe can be used for both digging and chopping trees.
There are several kinds of tools:
- Axes and Chainsaws - these are tools for chopping trees and vines. As for now, the only such tools are the Stone Axe and the Chainsaw.
- Drills - are used to mine for ores and soil faster. They are much more effective then pickaxes but, they can be crafted as late as in the Delta sector.
- Farming - what you can find here is all the farming tools. As of now, only the Stone Hoe is in this category.
- Multi-tools- all kinds of multi-functional tools. As the name suggests, they can perform various functions. Only the Matter Manipulator can be put into this category.
- Pickaxes - probably the most important kind of tools. This is here that you can find all of the pickaxes available in the game. They are used for digging for soil, mining for iron ores and fuel and to chop trees and remove blocks from developments.
- Special Tools -you can find here the tools that are hard to classify. Each one has specific functions and is a quite rare item. As the examples of special tools Flashlight and Paint Tool can be mentioned.
