Last update: 28 May 2020

Land vehicles are available only during Galactic Assault matches. The available vehicles wary depending on the map and faction, as well as the current stage of the match. Vehicles can be equipped with special upgrade cards, while their amount is limited following the baselines for each map.

Armor

AAT

AAT is the Separatists standard battle vehicle - Battlefront 2: Land Vehicles guide - Heroes, vehicles and support - Star Wars Battlefront 2 Game Guide
AAT is the Separatists' standard battle vehicle

A tank. Low mobility, appears on small amount of maps. Useful when utilizing its Siege Mode. The key is to assume good position in order to not be hit by the opponent, as a retreat to the former position may take some time.

Abilities:

  1. Linked Fire - Fire four laser cannons at once.
  2. Siege Mode - Stops the vehicle and fires strong explosive projectiles.
  3. High Explosive Shells - fire a barrage of bullets from the front of the vehicle which will deal damage to infantry targets in front of you.

AT-RT

A small yet useful vehicle - Battlefront 2: Land Vehicles guide - Heroes, vehicles and support - Star Wars Battlefront 2 Game Guide
A small yet useful vehicle

A small bipedal vehicle. Low mobility, sports two cannons of low velocity, average power, and large precision.

Abilities:

  1. Motion Scan - Scan nearby areas for enemy units.
  2. ION Charge - Switch to ion projectiles to deal increased damage to vehicles, shields, and defenses.
  3. Repair - Activate instantaneous regeneration of durability points.

AT-ST

AT-ST can help you get back to the top of the scorecard - Battlefront 2: Land Vehicles guide - Heroes, vehicles and support - Star Wars Battlefront 2 Game Guide
AT-ST can help you get back to the top of the scorecard

Sports increased durability (when compared to AT-RT) but does not offer instantaneous repair, only classic automatic regeneration. As a result, the player has to watch out for enemy forces in order to not be led to a trap.

Abilities:

  1. Motion Scan - Use to scan your surroundings and mark encountered opponents.
  2. Anti-Vehicle Missile - A powerful guided rocket that hits the chosen target (vehicles).
  3. Grenade Launcher - Fire shock grenades that deal slight damage and disorient your opponents.

Boost Cards

Repair Systems

Automatic repair is faster than normal repair

Reinforced Hull

Increases the amount of durability points

Protected Critical Systems

Increases the defense of critical systems in AAT/AT-ST; AT-RT receives an improved defense of all its systems

Improved Sensors

Scanning abilities are longer in duration.

Improved Weapon Systems

The second ability (improved cannon) deals more damage.

Fast Recharge

Faster recharge of the third ability (repair/missile launchers)

Artillery

Artillery does not utilize any ability cards. These units are often key to winning the game - the players receive temporary access to them in order to defeat a few opponents or to take care of a more powerful vehicle (e.g. AT-AT)

  1. the player does not control the vehicle and his tenure is limited by a time counter
  2. Low cost of "renting" (400 bp)

LAAT / U-Wing

LAAT - you man the cannon of a self-navigating vehicle and fire barrages at the chosen area of the fighting - Battlefront 2: Land Vehicles guide - Heroes, vehicles and support - Star Wars Battlefront 2 Game Guide
LAAT - you man the cannon of a self-navigating vehicle and fire barrages at the chosen area of the fighting

A cheap air unit. Renting it gives you 1.5 minute of barrage - every killed opponent lengthens your tenure as the pilot. Warning - the vehicle can be easily brought down from the sky by enemy planes, so its use may be problematic when you are without air support. The artillery units can utilize following abilities:

  1. Repair - Repairs the unit (the vehicle will start repairing itself after a few seconds without taking damage).
  2. Missile Guidance Disruptor - Disrupts the guided missiles from air opponents.
  3. Heat Sink - Your weapon doesn't overheat (you can fire a longer laser barrage).

AT-AT

Controlling an AT-AT - Battlefront 2: Land Vehicles guide - Heroes, vehicles and support - Star Wars Battlefront 2 Game Guide
Controlling an AT-AT

Some of the maps contain AT-AT walkers that can be controlled by the player. These machines are strictly connected to the objectives at hand, so it is almost guaranteed to encounter potential targets/opponents. Abilities:

  1. Heavy Laser Cannon - Fire a few heavy rounds from the vehicle at nearby targets.
  2. Refresh - Nearby allies refresh their abilities.
  3. Orbital Strike - Point the red circle to a chosen target. The strike is performed with a small delay.

MTT

An accurate shot takes around a half of infantrys life bar - Battlefront 2: Land Vehicles guide - Heroes, vehicles and support - Star Wars Battlefront 2 Game Guide
An accurate shot takes around a half of infantry's life bar

MTT appears in two maps in Galactic Assault mode. Similarly to AT-AT, the machines are strictly connected to the mission objectives, and will be exposed to enemy fire. You can rent it for a minute (each kill adds additional 10 seconds to the counter) to fire at targets in front of you (you're limited by the range of the gun) and support your allies by scanning nearby opponents and cool-down allies' weapons.

  1. Linked Fire - Fire from four cannons at once - use often, as you'll be able to use this option more than once during a single tenure as a driver.
  2. Refresh - Removes the cooldown on allies' abilities.
  3. Motion Scan - Displays the opponents' locations on allied radars.

Speeders

Speeders: T-47 (air unit), LIUV, X-34, Speeder Bike)

LIUV - Battlefront 2: Land Vehicles guide - Heroes, vehicles and support - Star Wars Battlefront 2 Game Guide
LIUV

A vehicle equipped with laser cannons. The cheapest from the lot and rather weak. Sport laser cannons of low rate of fire and average power. The models differ in mobility and durability (subtle differences). Eliminate infantry by running it over. Every unit is equipped with the same abilities:

  1. Motion Scan: Use to scan nearby areas and single out enemy units.
  2. Laser Barrage: Fire a rapid laser barrage.
  3. Heat Sink: Enables the player to fire the laser cannon without overheating.
